              Ashby’s just did my Dad’s funeral and it was nothing short of a nightmare...especially the burial. I will be forever haunted by his burial. They didn’t have the lowering device there (included in his prearrangements but left off on the final invoice) and asked the 5 pallbearers (4 who were in their 60’s) to lower the casket. They failed to tell me there wouldn’t be a lowering device. Instead they passed the blame off on the gravedigger. No sooner than we walked away from the grave he was on his tractor burying my dad. I have never been to a funeral where the casket is lowered while the family is present or where they bury them while the family is present. I called the owner to complain and he passed the blame off on the gravedigger and had him call me. He was so arrogant and condescending and told me that was normal acted like I was being a drama queen for complaining. I was furious when I got off the phone.
