            Recently bought a pet from a local pet store that had "APRI papers".... Of course I had no idea at the time that this shop apparently buys from puppy mills. Where the APRI comes into play is that they must not verify breeder information validity, as the breeder's USDA license number on our paperwork was cancelled 15 years ago. Just goes to show that it's a meaningless piece of paper when someone can put a license number that expired 15 years ago and no one batts an eye or does any verification of the information presented.

            When I first bought my German Shepherd I was told she was a registered purebred. I later came to find out that she was registered through APR vs AKC. So I looked into the differences between the two and was bothered by what some were saying about APR. The family I bought my baby girl from were not back yard breeders, nor was there any signs that the dogs were being breed for profit. I even have a Certified Pedigree showing 3 generations of her being a purebred. She is just as healthy as the AKC German Shepherd I own, and both their temperaments are almost identical. My Vet is constantly telling me how impressed he is with both of them. When ever I had questions or needed information APR responded almost instantly. This company is legit plain and simple. If I had to choose all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you guys so much for all the help and info you have provided.
