I had heating oil delivered by them and that part was okay. Where it got bad for me was when my husband and I started dating their bookkeeper was very upset about it since she was friends with his ex-wife. The unethical part worth reporting was when the bookkeeper started showing up at our storage units and going through my personal belongings, showing up at our business taking inventory of my belongings and reporting everything to the ex wife (we know this because the ex wife unsuccessfully sued us saying they were hers, thankfully I had receipts from years prior). I ended my relationship with Homerun Oil. The bookkeeper called me, unaware I knew it was her, and asked me where I was moving, who my new landlord was, and several very odd questions so that Homerun Oil can write me a recommendation for my new landlord. I have NEVER heard of an oil company writing a letter of recommendation for a new landlord (she was assuming I was moving). Very bizarre. I was pretty sure it it was so she could send a report to my husbands ex. I didn't want to assume anything so I contacted the owner and asked her if that was normal practice and I didn't want to jump to conclusions if that was normal. The next day the owner showed up at my business and it was a very ugly scene and she highly defended the bookkeeper and had some awful things to say to me and my husband- we had to demand she leave the property immediately. Very unprofessional and concerning
