They have unethical business practices, they are con men. My furnace failed to restart this fall. A Knik Heating tech inspected it and claimed the circuit panel needed replaced it had ***** on the back of the panel and estimated it would cost $1400-$1700 his supervisor would have to verify that his diagnosis was correct. I asked for estimate for repair and replacement cost for a new furnace A supervisor arrived did not inspect the furnace gave an estimate of $1000 to repair and spent ***** minutes giving me a sells pitch for a new furnace. I suspected fraud so I had a second company inspect the furnace. The tech had the furnace running in about 10 minutes. He said the circuit panel was not damaged and was working fine. Total cost for the repair was $329. Knik Heating had installed an incorrect 100 amp igniter when it actually called for a 80 amp igniter. We were unnecessarily without heat for over a week before this was finally resolved. I would never ever use Knik Heating again or recommend them to anyone

****Im sorry for your frustrations. Your review isnt quite accurate as the ************* (which you had installed by another company with the year) was failing along with the igniter that was pulling low amps. Both the technician and the supervisor discussed the findings. You actually asked for a furnace replacement quote. Im sorry, your response isnt accurate at all it is a blatant lie. Neither the supervisor or the tech mentioned anything about the inducer motor failing or igniter. The inducer motor is the factory original. Your tech installed the new incorrect 100 amp igniter. I was told by your tech and his supervisor that the circuit panel had burn marks on the back and needed replacement. I never saw or signed any invoice regarding a failing inducer motor in fact when I went to your office to pay my **** for the techs visit no one there could even find or show me an invoice to determine if I was being charged for the new incorrect igniter that the tech installed. I suspect you are well versed at trying to cover up your unethical business practicesKnik Heating LLC Response

You are correct as it was a weak control board and not the inducer. The ignitor was bad as well. We would have been more than happy to make it right, but its not the first time you have misunderstood what was presented to you like the location of the tankless flue piping. The location was explained and visually shown to you by the consultant, only to have you get frustrated with the location after the install. Im not sure what else could have been done as you declined the recommendation to relocate the tankless. Again I hope your new company can make you happy.Customer Response

After 27 years in law enforcement I am very familiar with someone trying to cover up a lie with yet another lie. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. My intention was only to inform others of your business practices. Goodbye
