              Mr. Rooter was called on July 2, 2024 about fixing our water heater. They made an appointment on July 9th to come out between 9:30am and 2:00pm. They did come out, but then left without saying if they were coming back or telling us what the issue was. After repeated called multiple times each week, they finally scheduled to come back on July 23rd between 9:30am and 2:00pm. No one ever showed up. We received no text or phone call to notify us that they would not be coming. After calling them, they asked to reschedule but could not tell me why they did not show up on the scheduled day and time. This will be the third day that we have had to take off work and lose wages.

              We contacted our home warranty for a toilet problem. Mr Rooter was assigned the job. Even though we filed the problem as not clogged, they showed up with paperwork showing a clog. The technician flushed the toilet several times, witnessed the problem, but said that he didn't see a problem, but wanted to charge $250 to run a camera. Which, of course, isn't covered. He couldn't get his story straight on his explanations; he only needed to run a camera. This is the 3rd experience with Mr. Rooter, and it is a recurring theme: show up, do nothing, and then say we can charge you $$ to try and find a problem. Meanwhile, we are out the money for a "service" call with a problem being witnessed, but no solution. We will certainly be calling someone else, but maybe this review will help someone else avoid these problems. If enough people get the message maybe they will change the way they do business.

              Mr. Rooter was hired thru a home warranty company. The homeowner stated her toilet was not flushing correctly. The technician flushed the toilet several time and could not repeat the customers complaint. Unfortunatley if we cannot repeat the problem during the visit we cannot call in false reports to get things "covered" by the homewarranty.

              This is only partially true. Yes, they were hired through the home warranty company, that was never disputed. The technician did witness the malfunction. 1 out of 3 times. Then, they told us it was our job to call the warranty company and ask for a repair. This is 100% false. The technician/hired business calls the warranty company to get the repair approved. They were never asked to file a false repair; no one benefits from that; the problem would remain if it was a false claim. It is funny how this company leaves out information on their response but then also accuses a customer of trying to get something for free, when it is never free for the customer when that customer has already paid the service call fee to the warranty company with no refunds given. Get your story straight and stop distorting facts. My complaint is in line with every other complaint against this company.
