Every time I go into animart, all of the pets are poorly taken care of. Especially the fish. I just went in today, and almost all of their fish are sick, the saltwater fish all had fin rot or other diseases. The water was so cloudy and the fish looked severely unhappy. We had brought in a perfectly healthy clownfish to surrender a couple weeks ago and we saw it today, its fins were all shredded and it looked to be in a lot of stress. This is due to very poor maintenance and care for these helpless animals. This can cause so many issues for people and their tanks. The staff is selling horribly sick animals without knowledge or letting people know about it. that will and can cause illness or even death to other fish or pets they may have at home. Horrible place, untrained, and uneducated staff.

****, I tried looking up your customer account in our system, but didnt see anything listed under your name, but did find another Blackley in Portage so maybe thats the one? The most recent sales/visits under that account date back to 2020 though.I am really sorry that you feel as though we do not take care of our animals. We hire animal lovers and they take a lot of pride in what they do here at Animart. We normally get nothing but extremely positive comments on the health and wellbeing of our pets as our associates go through extensive training and are in the areas of work they understand and are best suited for.For some context, the top row of saltwater cleaning was done on April 5th, so that is why it may have looked cloudy in the water as that really stirs everything up. My manager also does recall that the clownfish came in a bit stressed. That alone can lead to a lot of issues. Moving any animal around can be cause for stress that can deteriorate an animals health and overall outward condition.Again, I apologize for what you may have seen as an unhealthy environment, uneducated staff, and uncaring businessbut, I can assure you that we are not.Sincerely, ****
