I have stayed at this hotel for four years. Recent problems in management and new ownership have resulted in safety issues, lack of communication with guests, and refusal for guests to complain with cooperate offices without a request for eviction. I shared a complaint with cooperate yesterday regarding an open parking garage for 8 days with no notification to guests about a problem. I equally shared a concern of my rate of pay increasing after a reduction in pay due to intrusions in my room on two separate occasions. The owner communicated with cooperate my complaint was not valid as the new rate was never in a contract and just saw an increase on my bills.The message from the General Manager today was I see you filed a complaint with cooperate and and since you are not happy you should find another location and following with I was no longer allowed at the property.As an African-American female away from my family during the week, I was deeply concerned with two people entering my room with keys while in a state of undress and the garage being wide open for 8 days with no notification to guests about the issue.I learned from cooperate the owner responded to the complaint and shared the door was broken from an attempted break in and delay in parts coming overseas. Any communication about a wide open parking garage would be professional especially after a UW student was brutally attacked this week. The eviction was punitive for making a complaint about service I paid for and the owner and general manager rather than being responsive choice to remove me for voicing real concerns.Several key staff including an award winning manager have left in recent weeks and months due to poor business practices and unsafe conditions.
