We contracted with Sennott Contractors to remove and replace four sections of concrete and our back concrete stoop. We signed the contract early in October, 2020 with the work to be done that month. When the work was done, the weather was unusually cold with near freezing temperatures at night. When the concrete was delivered, *************************** commented and actually wrote on the delivery document that the concrete appeared to be too thin or runny.In February, 2021 a crack appeared in one of the sections. On examination, unfinished grooves were visible where the concrete stoop met the house siding. I started leaving messages with Sennott Contractors the week of April 5, 2021. On April 16, *************************** came and looked at the crack and the grooves on the stoop. He said he would contact the concrete company and call me back by April 20. I did not receive that call so I started calling **** the week of April 26. I sent an email, text, or phone call every other day. Finally, on May 6, someone answered one of my texts and agreed to come on May 7 to look at the issue. No one came so I continued to try to contact Sennott Contractors. I sent at least 15 messages.Finally, on May 25, I got a response from *************************** saying that they could not replace the cracked concrete, but he could caulk the crack and fill the grooves in the stoop. One June 4, **** came and caulked the crack and the grooves. One June 10, he came back to clean up the caulk patch. At that time, he told us that he would send us a written statement via email saying that if we had any further issues with the cracked section, they would "take care of it". He asked ** to send HIM a reminder via text because he "kept forgetting to send the statement". I have sent twenty texts reminders since then. We have not received the statement yet!Whether the unseasonable cold and the thinness of the concrete caused the crack after less that 4 months, I cannot prove. But the lack of responsiveness to dozens of requests for a response are certainly something that shouldn't have happened.OUR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. THE QUESTIONABLE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK FOR ** WAS POOR BUT THEIR UNRESPONSIVENESS TO OUR ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT THEM WAS PROBABLY WORSE!
