CPR was hired by myself and my insurer to restore my patio roof and house roof after a huge tree had been blown onto it by a storm.First, they dragged out the patio roof repair for months. When the finally got to the house roof, they sent only one person, he worked only a part day, then failed to adequately tarp the bare(no shingles)roof, then didn't return for days. A rainstorm then was able to pour into the house, collapsing my kitchen ceiling! The two project managers came here immediately, took pictures, and agreed to repair the damage at their expense. Unbelievably, the sole roofer did the exact same thing a week later, resulting in collapse of my entire bathroom ceiling and part of a bedroom ceiling! The project managers came here, cleaned up, and promised to repair everything at their expense, again.During one of the two visits, my insurance adjuster was here to verify that the new damage was the fault of CPR, and the project managers and he modified the insurance agreement to reflect that fact.CPR sent a competent ********* to finish the roof, and to begin repairs to the damage caused by CPR.Suddenly, a man named ***********************, claiming to be the *** or owner, or both, of CPR called that he was now handling my case. He fired the two project managers, and pulled the ********* off my job.During a phone call to me, I sent the third quarterly payment to CPR, and ******* promised that the ********* would return to finish the job next week. ******* lied. I had him on speaker phone, and have to witnesses. The ********* never returned.Subsequently emails to ******* received abusive, even psychotic replies! He insisted I pay HIM $6000, UPFRONT, to repair the damage his people did.Fearing he is psychotic, I contacted my attorney, rather than the BBB. ******* has ignored the Attorney's Right to Cure letter, and sent another abusive email. So I am contacting you and the ** Dept.of Consumer Protection now, hoping one or both agencies can find a cure for this guy!

Not even worth 1 star! This is for mold remediation I had hired this company to do mold remediation for a building that was my responsibility for with my father passing. So they came in and did an estimate. It was formally a bar, so 2 slide door coolers and a walk in cooler was part of the building and its fixtures. They were given the issues from an Environmental specialist, and the testing results.(initally)They came, and left. I couldn't enter the building but a window was left open so that anyone could get in.I called the Environmental testing specialist. to retest. He wouldn't even test it, it He said it failed miserably! He then sent me the same email that he sent him.FAILED!They had to come back out and reclean the entire place. They gave me a hassle because coolers are not part of the estimate, the back of a door still had black mold! but it was clean. They didn't clean the walls, I guess they cleaned the floor but nothing else, but with mold you would think they would make this part of the "mold remediation"They came back and had to reclean the whole place like they were supposed to in the first place. --Mold is really hard to deal with when it was out of control. This time it did pass testing from Enviro specialist. Now more than a month later, they send me a bill for >3000,00 for me to pay.Because they didn't clean it well enough the first time!!! They didn't add the coolers to the estimate ( and they only did the outside of the door of the walk in cooler)They always have an excuse! Always a threat that it will not be warranted if I unwrap the coolers, or if we don't do this or that.. I am not sure how they can have any certification since when you bid a building that has mold, wouldn't you think that you would do the WHOLE building! A major payment >15000.00 for a glorified floor cleaner! Now they want a lien! I will fight till the end on this! This is currently in process 2/2023 They did come

My name is ***************************** and I am the Owner of CP Restoration in the Fox Valley that ******** hired. She inherited a Bar that had been in operation for over 20 years and longer than that prior with previous tenants. It had Mold growing on the vinyl base cove from spilled soda on the front of the Bar itself. It had water intrusions for years in the basement from no less than three different sources so imagine the moisture level in the place which we had to control with dehumidification thru the length of the job. This protocol said to clean every square inch of a two story building with ongoing leaking and a customer whose husband clearly said not to do certain parts of the Bar and coolers. Keep in mind this is a two story building with an apartment under construction in the lower part and unfinished drywall so you guessed it, mold all over those walls too. all of which had to be demoed then cleaned after that. in addition, there was a condensate drain line that was literally draining from the first floor furnace and A/C down onto the lower level floor under the staircase for years. There was no drain there to receive the water. So the combination of issues meant a nearly impossible task and we were asked to clean every inch of the building. And did. That included walls and floors and the Bar and shelves and bathrooms and the entire lower level including demoing all of the drywall previously installed down there and more. The list goes on ALL while the building leaks water with high humidity. A nearly impossible task. Which is why not surprisingly we failed in the Coolers her husband told us NOT TO CLEAN! Of course we had to come back and we expanded the scope to include them and them guess what, we PASSED. That is not on us. That is on them and at their costs. Simple as that. She refuses to pay for the extra works so naturally we are pursuing them for payments by any means necessary. The reasons for failure were for areas not done principally and for the high moisture levels in there. During at least two meetings on site we saw staff cleaning walls, floors and everything in between. Do you know what color pine tar turns over years of being dried on a wall? white. So it looked like mold or mildew. It wasn't. Did we make mistakes when we knew better than to reduce the costs for them up front? yes. Should we have charged for all of it and insisted we were going to do it all up front, yes. did we? no. We tried to keep the costs down and it bit us. Once it was all done, it passed. And that meant more costs. Simple as that.
