Review on "Basement Repair by M C Service"Time of Service on my home, May "21". Short story; Wanna save a few bucks and maybe some head-aches, give these guys a try. I'm glad I did ! I got five different estimates, including the Big Three Companies in the area for such repairs. Install new drain tile on the interior, and a sump. They were not the cheapest, came in second. After narrowing it down to two, I had them come back to clarify work to be done, and get it stated on the estimate. I chose them because I thought there was more bang for the buck. The cheapest place, one of the big three, I was responsible for any permits, hiring an electrician and a plumber. No "Extra" work to be done under contract, would all be separate. MC promised a lot of extra work to be performed; tuck pointing, grading etc.. While all my concerns did not make it on final estimate, I figured if they did half of what was discussed, this was still more than anyone else. Not only did they do EVERYTHING discussed, but a few more, at no addition cost ! Small business, *****s are Great People ! Crew of three were all really nice guys. I even gave the crew a tip at the end. Told them I'd pop for a decent lunch for them. ***** would show up at least once per day to check on things. They even back filled after pulling the forms for a 8' section of sidewalk redone ! Never seen that done before. On the negative side; These are not complaints, more so thoughts for lack of a better word. If your looking for a ************ Company that works sun-up to sun-down, and will **** the job out in a couple, three days, these guys are not it ! They averaged less than 6 hrs on site all but one day. Get here about 8:15 every morning. Packed up and gone before 2. I don't know what they did in the yard before or after so, no big deal to me. No, they don't work on weekends. **** started on a Monday, they pulled the forms on a new patch of sidewalk the following week ***.. Again, no big deal to me, I waited 38 yrs to do this, what's a few extra days. Their Skills, finishing a sidewalk leaves room for a little improvement. Was so rough from brushing it was painful to walk on. They came back the next day and ground it down a little. Still looks rough, but being the 8th separate pour / patch in my yard, looks like a concrete version of a *************** anyway. I wasn't impressed with their choice of Plumber. He never tested it before he left. I had to call him back TWICE before I had a ********* that worked. There were a few other items, but all Minor. All were addressed shortly after I mentioned them to the owners.Mom ****** still needs to give the final test, but I don't see any problems arising.All in all, I'm pretty much completely happy. Living here so long I've had more than my fair share of **************** Business' here. Can only think of three I was happy with. MC Service is now at the top of that list ! I highly recommend them ! **** *.
