    The *** Store #**** broke the items I shipped with them and then had horrible customer service as I tried to get the issue resolved. I had shipped a box of childhood toys at a cost of about $100. The toys were in a plastic bin, and the store clerk sold me packing materials and packed the items for me. I asked to insure the box for $800 but she told me that $500 of insurance was included in the cost of shipping, so I said that would be adequate. When the box arrived at its destination, it had been smashed, breaking the plastic bin and the toys inside. For months I spent hours calling and emailing with the store and with ***'s corporate office to no avail. They had me upload photos and they "launched investigations", but they would not admit to wrongdoing. Finally, the owner of store #**** sent me a check for $100 to refund me for the cost of shipping the items. But he would not reimburse me for the items inside the box that were broken. *** ships so many things for so many people. There are bound to be mistakes, and that is understandable. But to leave the consumer to suffer all the cost herself is unfair. *** has damaged my property and they refuse to justly compensate me. Consumers need to be protected from businesses like this.

    We apologize that these items were damaged in shipping. The *** Store offers a Pack and Ship Guarantee, stating that if a customer purchases a box and packaging service from our store that we will cover for loss or damage. The receipt shows only the shipment being purchased and didn't include ************* service. Our security cameras show an associate providing some complimentary loose packing material to fill empty space in the box. However, nothing was purchased and the box was not repacked so therefore could not be covered for damage. We apologize for any confusion.
