She replied to a question about the weight of a sterling sculpture, which they estimated to be ***** lbs, essentially setting the floor for the value of the item. In reality it was less than 9 and the owner didn't seem to understand why that should matter and was unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation, no return, no resale of the item, no reduction in the commission they take due to their error, because they are incapable of understanding that they misled a seller in an auction with erroneous information. Furthermore, won a sterling silverware set listed at almost ***************************************** reality was just over ****, missing 89 grams of sterling! The seller clearly has a habit of overestimating the weight of their precious metals, once might be a mistake, but 2x seems fraudulent. To make matters worse, she complained to me about how unfair my review was, that's right telling the truth is unfair but misleading and lying to auction bidders clearly is fair in her mind. I spoke to this individual the day he called and advised we were not in front of the item and that the weight was not listed in the description because it was being sold as a piece of art with the artist name clearly in the listing, the size and dimensions. We said we would estimate it, but could not verify it. The sterling set he is describing, had pictures of all the weight of the sterling spoons, forks and extra pieces, and the knives portion was added, but knives are not all sterling. They were accurate, as we have been selling sterling for years, and you can see this is one individual who regretted his purchase and is blaming others. There was another party who was just below him, who would have purchased had he quit bidding.
