I took our 2023 Toyota Tacoma to be checked out due to clinking noises from suspension. I was told I would have to sign a paper for a diagnostic test I would have to pay for if it was not a warranty issue. I do not know a whole lot about vehicles so I signed it which I would have to pay it if it was something we damaged in suspension. They informed me they heard no adnormal noises and proceeded to tell the new Toyotas had issues with noisy suspensions. When I informed my husband his first comment was why did they do a diagnostic for a suspension problem. My complaint is why was I not told that in the beginning about suspension noise problems so I did not get hit with paying for a diagnostic test. I feel I was taking advantage of being female and not knowing that it shows you nothing about a suspension problem. So we are driving a brand new Toyota tacoma that sounds like a 20 year old clonker when we hit small bumps in the road . I was informed from Steven Toyota that Toyota says suspension is sound so no repair to fix this annoying clunking. I should have not had to pay a penny for this. We even paid big extra money for extra warranty. I have bought my last vehicle from this dealership.Steven Toyota Response

Once any person arrives into the service department with a concern our responsibility is to diagnose the issue and report the concern to the consumer. The service department did exactly this. I am sorry this customer disagrees with the outcome. We are also very motivated to be a part of the solution.Review from Heather V

I purchased a 2019 Certified Pre-Owned Kia Forte from Steven Kia. I was sold an extended warranty as well. I started having issues with my radio screen and the defrost motor so I called Kia to verify I still had a warranty, they verified, i called Steven Toyota to set up an appointment to have the issues looked at and eventually repaired. It took over 3 1/2 weeks for them to verify I had a warranty! I was given the run around over and over. I was being told they were unable to see the warranty in there system therefore it did not exist. After explaining it was an extended warranty, I even sent them the receipt showing i purchased it, they called Kia and verified the warranty but said they weren't sure it was still valid. Eventually I sent an email thru their website and was contacted by a sales person who was able to have service finally set up the appointment and verify everything, I was told I would be receiving a loaner car since my vehicle also had a recall. I called the day before my appointment to verify the appointment and the process for the loaner, and was told "we don't' have any loaners but we have a shuttle if your staying local". I had to arrange a ride from Toyota to work, since its not local. After they looked over my vehicle I was called and told "sorry, nothing that is wrong is going to be covered under warranty, it seems you purchased the worst warranty possible, so for today's visit you owe $150.00!!!Review from John S.

My experience was completely unprofessional and disreputable. I will never go back to this dealership and will advised my friends and family to do the same. Character limit did not support all of the text of my full experience. In short, I was given the smoke and mirrors treatment. I was lured to the lot to purchase a 2021 Ford Bronco that actually never existed. I was passed off to numerous reps that ultimately tried forcing a 2022 Ford Bronco down my throat that was way over my previously established price range. I can honestly say I have never seen a staff get so genuinely mad/disrespectful towards a potential customer as the Sales Manager and Sales Consultant did in this situation. You would have thought we physically spat on the paperwork. It happened so quickly it was like a light switch had been flipped. The Sales Manager began to talk down to my wife and I as if we were complete morons for not accepting this ever so gracious deal presented in front of us. He expressed that he could go sell the vehicle at an auction for more than he was selling it to us. He would use that money to purchase 2-3 more Corolla’s to bring on the lot to make a better profit and why on earth were we exploring vehicles in this price range if we couldn’t afford them. We should be looking at vehicle $20k cheaper. I immediately cut him off and explained that I came in today for a 2021 Bronco coming onto your lot in the coming days. It’s my understanding it will be listed at a price point that matches our budget, per the original sales rep we worked with earlier that day. The Manager aggravatedly tells me that vehicle isn’t ours. He explains, “that would be like me trying to sell my neighbors vehicle. It’s not mine.” Completely blindsided by this information, and practically breezed over as if it’s nothing, he continues to talk down to my wife and I which at that point I’d had enough. We left.Review from Paul D.

Had pre-aproval for a loan from my personal bank the week prior, had the check in hand on Wednesday the second week with plans to pick up my truck that Saturday. I called ahead to the dealership to verify that everything was squared away on Friday for pick up due to schedule changes on my end. When I showed up on Friday with check in hand, they informed me that they had just been told that the truck wouldn't pass state inspection due to the steering gear needing replaced and that part is on back order till the end of June. My counter offer to keep the deal on was to have a complete fluid flush including the clutch fluid, front and rear differentials, transmission, and transfer case. Aledegedly that was out of their budget but they wanted me to sign the contract and wait another two weeks for the truck to hopefully be done. The worst part about this whole ordeal is the fact that I showed up to the dealership to buy a 2022 tacoma that was listed on their site and came to find out that it wasn't even scheduled to be on their lot till the end of July 2022. In retrospect I should've just walked away to begin with once I knew that the truck wasn't even there. 10 out of 10 will never shop at Steven Toyota ever again, I ended up being stranded in Harrisonburg, an hour away from home making my wife go out of her way with my two month old son to bring me money for fuel just to make it home.Review from Heaven M

This dealership canceled my loan 9 days after all paperwork was signed and the vehicle was in my possession. They kept nearly all of my deposit after performing unauthorized work to my trade in vehicle. To add insult to injury, when they canceled my loan, they called my previous lender to whom they were supposed to pay off and told them that I was the one that canceled the deal.Steven Toyota Response

Steven Toyota is not at fault for any reason in this situation. The customer chose to quit their job prior to the special financing bank verified their "proof of employment". Banks today identify that if a customer does not have a verified employment than they are most likely not able to afford the monthly payment. This is unfortunately an example of bad timing on this individuals planning or lack of.
