    We have been renting a unit for the past two years with nothing but issues since the day we moved in. All of which have been reported multiple times with no resolution and multiple temporary fixes.We had a roof repair that was not completed for 3 weeks causing leaking in home. Instead of inspecting they replaced ceiling tiles multiple times which are again TEMPORARY since they patch the bigger issue. We had no hot water for 4 to 6 months. We had showers turn off to the point where there was no water IN THR MIDDLE OF THE SHOWER THE ENTIRE DURATION OF OUR LEASE. We cannot take showers even if we wanted to! These have been reported multiple times with no resolution but they claim its complete and within a timely manner with the temporary fix. They state things have been replaced x3 when they have not. (Receipts please!?) I have been present for every inspection and they did not replace what they are claiming is to be the issue. (Shower cartridge) They willingly rented a unit that had galvanized pipes and needed to be replaced prior to us moving in. (Please see below) Now they claim that it cannot be resolved until we are moved out and we have to live with it until our lease is up. ZERO STARS. photos attached

    Very shady company, hidden fees all over the place. We paid our rent early our entire lease including pet fees, and pet deposit. We paid our February rent in mid January then they sent an exterminator which we agreed to pay for ahead of time. After taking our February rent they put the extra charge on our rent app then 7 days later served us with a state of Michigan document to vacate premises or be evicted. We didnt even know they put it on the pay app. Even though this is a state of Michigan document, they said it means nothing. We had no maintenance issues for an entire year and paid our rent early every month. We had signed a year lease for a second time before we received this notice. They claim this official document means nothing. We are not staying for the second lease now because if this treatment. If they treat good renters like this I would hate to see how they treat struggling renters. They have so many employees doing who knows what. We get threatening emails from a different named person every other day it seems. Theyre so shady, I worked with the actual owner of my house at one point and he told my wife and I to use his personal maintenance guy if we need work done to avoid him having more cost and more hassle. We did this and now the issue that was never fixed is being fixed,(for another fee Im sure), by United tomorrow. They had me pay $45 for an application and required me to put my wife on the application which was fine. Its just us. Then we were informed my wife ALSO had to fill out an application(for another $45), and put me on it. Now they are doing numerous inspections while we are here(for more fees of course). We feel borderline harassed right at this time. If anyone knows a good way to deal with this legally(lawyer), please respond if you want to. This company is very very very shady. Beware and read fine print and do your own research. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY TELL YOU IF YOU DECIDE TO RENT FROM THEM!!!
