In December 2023, Hubble Construction came into our home to do work on our living room ceiling. They didn't cover the flooring properly and damages occured. We paid out of pocket for new carpet to be installed on Jan 9, 2024. State Auto (our ins. company) reimburse us $3000 for the carpet. The ceiling wasn't finished properly so we got Hubble Construction to fix the areas they failed to do properly. They returned Feb 19, 2024 for repairs. 2 men and 3 women returned on Feb 20, 2024 for sanding, painting, and cleaning. There was a bunch of commotion happening that seemed suspicious to me so I entered the room to see 2 men on ladders and 3 women standing around the area of damage. When asked what was going on, one of the men told me their halogen light got knocked over and my new carpet was burned. One of the women made a phone call to Hubble and all 3 women left immediately. Our insurance company (State auto) has been involved with this matter since 2023 and has been informed every step of this construction project. They have been trying to get to the bottom of the issue. However, on April 5th 2024, our insurance company notified us that Hubble Construction informed them everyone was outside on break when the damages occurred (false), but are willing to pay for a patch. We firmly believe a patch won't work in this high traffic area. The entire living room carpet needs to be replaced. Now, I am no genius, but, know enough that you don't accept responsibility and pay for something you didn't do. We want and expect our brand new carpet to be replaced NOT patched. Hubble has been dishonest with our insurance company, our flooring company, and us throughout this entire process. They need to be held accountable for their mistakes. Please contact us ASAP!
