            May 3: When movers arrived, I pointed out my desk leg was loose. So, he filled out a previous damaged report. After moving it to the truck, they came back with a photo and said he hated to be the bearer of bad news, but the leg broke off. Of course I wasnt happy. He called his boss. He said to fill out a damage report and they would get back to me. May 7: 4 days later when I hadnt heard from them, I called and spoke to the Operations Manager. He said he didnt have the damage report, but would check and call me back. May 8: He called back the next day and left a voice message. I called back and left a message.May 9: I called again and spoke to the Operations Manager. He said they wont pay any damages on a previous damaged item. I said thats not acceptable when I had a working desk, just a loose leg. After they moved it, they broke off the leg and now its not useable. My desk was previously damaged but after they moved it, its destroyed. He said nothing he could do. So I asked to speak to the franchise owner. He said call the main desk to ask if the owner was available. I did, she checked and said hes not available but gave me his email address. I emailed him that day.May 14: The owner has not responded.

            I hired them to move about a dozen large items 500' down the street to my new home two houses away. I did not purchase the optional insurance because I didn't think they could do damage moving just a few items such a short distance. I also had a previous bad experience with a long distance mover whereby I bought insurance and paid extra to have them package a glass China cabinet. They broke 2 panels of glass in the cabinet then denied the claim because it was under my deductible. This time although they had moving blankets, they drug my antique armoire across my new natural wood floor, gouged 3 planks, and scraped the paint off one of the armoire legs. They also dropped a $1500 quartz outdoor table cracking one corner and chipping another corner, They had the wood floor fixed a month later but only paid me $160 for the table, $.60 per pound. Also, they had to remove the door to my office to get a desk in and after removing the hinge pins, they transferred the grease from the pins that got on their fingers onto our new white sofas. Not wanting to deal with these people anymore, my wife was able to remove the grease. In a way I blame myself for not looking at the preponderance of negative YELP reviews beforehand.
