To be clear, we did not provide moving services to this individual. They contacted us on multiple occasions for estimates over the phone. On the second point of contact the individual provided a much more detailed list of the items she wanted moved via our website form. The list she uploaded, totaled approximately 6000LBS of household goods,
We provided an honest estimate. We always strive to over estimate rather than under estimate moves to avoid negative surprises on move day, By no means was this an average "1-bedroom" move. The contents list provided was twice the amount of contents we would normally come across in a typical 1-bedroom.
After we provided the estimate the reviewer stated "I am only paying for 3 hours". At that point we simply explained that we charge based on the actual job time. We explained that based on the list provided it would be impossible to execute the move in 3 hours. We suggested that we probably aren't a good fit for her, if the expectation was a 3 hour move. The cost difference between the two estimates was about a 25% difference. We did not triple the estimate.
The fact that this reviewer has a "shoot the messenger" mentality and is angry because we gave an honest estimate, says more about the reviewer than it does about our company. She could have simply found a company that was a better fit for her needs, instead she is investing time and energy in trying to harm a hard working small business with a stellar reputation. This is our first review on BBB that isn't 5-stars. We hope the reviewer will consider removing this unjustified negative review once she has had an opportunity to reflect.
We wish the reviewer all the best and will continue to provide honest estimates and deliver exceptional moving services.
