            I had just closed on my home in Venice on 4/7/2022 and was in the process of moving in and getting settled. I contacted Servpro of South Sarasota on April 9th 2022 due to some minor water damage, they came out to evaluate the damages on 4/10 and I was told the job was small and would be between $300-$500 by Brady T. They proceeded to finish the project over the course of the next 2-3 days, several holes were made in the drywall and several pieces of trim or baseboard were removed. On 4/14, the bill for the project was emailed to me and the amount due was $1,203.02. As you can imagine, I was shocked by the cost since I was expecting this to be less than $500. When questioning the company project manager who emailed me the invoice (Clint W.), he informs me that I was never told the job would be that price. My wife and son were present on 4/9/2022 when Brady T. gave us the verbal estimate, I would not have agreed to the services if I had known it would be over $1,200. In addition, the baseboard that was removed was returned damaged and one piece was never returned and still no response from Clint W. I believe the owner of the franchise was copied on all the emails and nobody has bothered to call or discuss these issues and complaints. I'm looking for the Better Business Bureau to step in and assist the consumer in this case.

            We had some water damage after Hurricane *** and I called ServPro of South Sarasota because I have used them in the past and my experience at that time was great. I called and was actually routed to the owner, *********************, who stayed on the phone with me for nearly an hour reviewing all of my options with ServPro as well as my insurance company. I'm positive he was swamped with other customers' needs, but he made me feel like I was his only customer. We decided to go with them and they actually came to begin the process of inspecting/drying/cleaning/fixing the issue the very next day. Because of their prompt service, the damage was less extensive than it could have been. I truly appreciate the team at ServPro of South Sarasota, their professionalism, timeliness, and dedication to making their customers a little less stressed in a time of great anxiety. Thank you, **** and team! I'll be sure to call them first the next time I need help.
