Took my 2008 Ford Edge in on January 28th 2022 because it was shifting hard. Was told the initial check was no charge but if they have to get into my transmission and it needed rebuilt it'd be $3,700. They never called us with anything. Had to call them to get information. My call log will show that. Less than a week after having my car they say I need to give them a deposit of $957.65 so they can get into my transmission because all my hard parts are good, gave them the deposit. February 24th we pick the car up and paid the remaining $2,712.14 owed for the rebuild. We were told the car was shifting hard at times but the computer couldn't be programmed because it had to learn our driving, however, the more we drive it the smoother the shifting will get. By 300 miles we should not notice any jerking/hard shifts etc. And to bring it back in 2 weeks for a fluid leak check. Which we did. At that time we also let them know it was still shifting hard and jerking and we had driven over 300 miles. We were told to drive it 2 more weeks. Now my car is slamming into reverse, shifting hard, the same exact problem we took it in for. Took it in again and was told it could be the wrong oil or they need to drop the transmission again that i need to leave the car. The guy didn't even drive or check my car, said it's not the same problem. How do you know when you are just standing there talking and not checking it? I was prepared the first time to be with out the car, not this time. When they took my payment, that was them saying my car was fixed. It's not. I have a child with a disability that I need to have reliable transportation as well as the fact I work. Losing my car due to them not repairing it the first time is an inconvenience and they should be held responsible for my transportation this time.
