A friend and I took our sons here for two days to celebrate their graduation June 2024. Check in is 4pm. There were multiple guests waiting to get their rooms because they were not ready. This was on top of the astronomical fees paid online deposit as well as once we arrived. Parking fee, incidental fees, and resort fee. We had to ask two workers on two separate occasions when our room will be available. The response was its not ready, youll get a text. After waiting for an hour and a half we finally asked for a manager. Miraculousy the manager gave us another room after waiting almost 2 hours after check in. At checkout they gave a bill that said we had a balance due. Called to speak with a manager regarding it, was told accounting will be in touch. No word from accounting its now a month later. Next issue I still have not received my incidental refund back! Called spoke to staff, managers, customer service only answer I have been receiving is its because of the holiday, its because of the debit card. The manager as well as staff at the desk were rude. I was transferred to accounting, left message. No response yet from anyone. This is ridiculous to take someones money and then its not returned in a timely manner. The place is overpriced, overrated, needs better management, understaffed and needs major upgrades. By the way my friend received her incidental deposit back.Review from Kathryn S

E-Gift Cards Back in March of this year, I ordered E-gift Cards online as instructed by the website. But I didn't receive them. I spoke with, left voice mail messages for and sent email messages to several people, including the Managing Director, *************************. And as of today, I still don't have them.I will NEVER do business with Camelback Resort again!Review from Antonio A

On February 23, 2024, my son, who has an annual IKON pass called Camelback, wanted to see what the discount for two guests he would be bringing on Saturday February 24th would be. He was told it would be 25% of the regular walk-in rate. He went on to ask, “what is the walk-in rate”? The answer was we don’t know. At the same time, I checked the website for Camelback and saw that the online price was $99. However, because of the discount on the IKON pass, I thought that it would be even cheaper. So, we went along with our eyes closed, because the rate was not disclosed upfront, thinking that the discount would be a better deal. The following day, when we got there, we were told that the walk-in price was $159. With my sons 25% off it came to $119 each. These are tactics that this place is playing to make more money. They absolutely knew the walk-in price over the phone. They willfully refused to disclose it. In this case, I would have saved $40 by buying them online. Another gripe is that this is the first ski resort I have been to in my years of skiing where I had to pay for parking. I was surprised and appalled at the same time. My resolution is to get reimbursed for my $40 as if I bought them online because I went out of my way to see how I can save money and get the best price on the lift ticket.Review from Debra H

Camelback is a great place to take your kids. If you’re living paycheck to paycheck, don’t think about it. It’s bad enough the going rate is roughly $500 a nite for family of 6. If you want a cabana that’s $500 as well for up to 12 people. They do give you 6 bottles of water & a tray of fruit. You can not feed your family of 6 a pizza pie, which is about $25. Drinks are $17 , where they give you bottom shelf. Oh did I say, tips are always automatically included. So if your sever is no good, you are tipping anyway. Also be careful because I wasn’t told. There is a $39 resort fee & a $25 parking fee. YOU DO THE MATH!!!!!Review from Mary P

I check in the bathroom door is locked so my kids and I waited over an hour for someone to come. We had to use the bathroom in the lobby . We asked for room service 9am we return 3pm and no one came . The girl at front desk told us they only do house cleaning if your stay FOUR nights ??? Are you kidding ? In a children’s hotel with a garbage can the size of a lunch box ? Well she said she did me the “favor “ of requesting it again and they finally did it and we came back to our room not even locked. She had left it opened . Our belongings could have been stolen because of this!!!!!! BLOOD CLOT was floating in the penguin park . I asked the worker if someone could clean it and what could that be ..she said oh yes it was probably the boy with a bloody nose. I felt disgusted and there were poor children under the age of 1 swimming in there so I left OASIS bar is the WORST!! Heavy set girl was very rude and the lady with tinted glasses told a guest to “get out” because he didn’t have ID. She said to him “didn’t you read the sign at the entrance now get out” that’s no way to treat someone on vacation . He was clearly over 18 but that’s not the point the message could have been delivered differently . I waited twenty minutes for my drink and I asked the heavy set girl at the bar if it’s normal to do so and she said can’t you see there’s only one person working ? Obviously she can’t be faster . She kept repeating how she couldn’t believe I didn’t understand that she’s alone and Our drinks were horrible . She added MANDATORY tip which I did not agree with since they treated me and everyone else so poorly. Buffet: Horrible !! No labels god forbid you’re allergic to something . the workers do not speak English so we did not know what anything was . Nothing had labeling and the employees just stood around chatting and talking .The desserts had flies on it. I have also been itching since we’ve got there and we realized we also got BED BUG bites!!!!!Review from Ciara D

My paycheck was withheld from me for 4 months after leaving the company. Absolutely illegal. Never work here. They treated me less than probably because I was the only non-male worker regardless of having management experience.Review from David B

Had a few rough visits here. Came up for a multi day trip and was informed when we got there that the mountain would be closed because of weather. Bummer but understandable. We asked to cancel the whole trip and for a refund with the idea we would rebook the next week. The front desk folks were kind and spoke with a manager who said no problem (they ended up really screwing this up, more on this later). We left right away and drove the few hours back home bummed but excited to come back. We ended up coming back the next week, and spending a bunch of $ for hotels and lift tickets and lessons. Wasn't a great experience. Back to the refund. I got home and realized that nothing had been refunded and in fact they had made a mistake and even charged me more. Now the fun part, that many people bring up in reviews- you cant get in touch with anybody there! Its so ridiculous and infuriating. The only people you can get in touch with are the hotel booking folks and they couldn't help me, they are at another location. All they could do was just email somebody higher up with the info and hope they would get back to me. Of course no one got back to me. I called a few times a week for about a month before someone finally emailed me back saying they saw my inquiry and were refunding me $200ish, where I was owed over $1k. No return email or way to get in touch with them to ask them where they got that amount, or just WTF?!? I Kept trying to get in touch and no luck. Eventually had to just cancel the charges on my credit card to try and get a little money back. If you do take a trip here and have any issues make sure you address it immediately and dont leave until you see the charges come back on your account. You won't ever be able to get in touch with anybody after the fact and you will probably never be able to recover your $. I will never be returning here and will tell this story so no one I know gets screwed by Camelback.Review from christine v

I visited camel back on 3/22/23. I got so sick with food poisoning as soon as I bought a hot chocolate from their waffle cabin. It tasted weird. I pulled over on a highway to vomit. I was so sick that it ruined my trip I had planned with my 3 kids. I hardly get any days off from work and my trip got ruined all because camelback could not properly maintain a clean food environment.
