This company is cold and cruel! My mom who is 91 yrs old who has dementia was receiving caregiving services from Right at Home, York, Pa. My mom was very happy with both the caregivers that were assigned to her. On Tuesday August 15th, 2023 I received a phone call from Mitchell who is the staffing manager to say that my mom was going to be receiving a new caregiver on Monday, Wednesday and Friday as 'we discussed'. We never had a conversation such as he stated. We told them at the start we needed a caregiver Sun to Thurs. I told Mitchell you cant do that to my mom, dementia patients need consistency. Mitchell spoke to me in a rude tone and mentioned that their caregiver Irene cost him too much money and that she was his York girl. I asked Mitchell who did he answer to and he said Kristin ( his wife). Kristin called me 15 minutes later and told me she would do everything she could so that my mom would still have Irene. Kristin told me she would reach out to Irene and see if Irene would give up her other clients, she promised to call me back and never did. Later on that evening I spoke with Irene and learned Kristin never called her. The next day I called more than several times to speak with Kristin and even left a voicemail. I called again and Mitchell answered the phone I asked if I could speak with Kristin and he said she wasn't available. Twenty minutes later the assistant director (Rachel) called to tell me that they decided to not render services to my mom anymore. We found the owner Keith Zimmerman on Facebook, messaged him and he called me. He seemed like he really cared and that he was going to do something but unfortunately even after 2 texts asking him to follow up with me it was to no avail. More than a month later, we still have received no response as promised by the owner of the company. This experience has left me with much frustration, as my husband and I are now juggling work and other responsibilities with caring for my incontinent mother.
