I hired Haller to install a mini-split system and replace electric panel. The price did seem a little high, however I live in a rural area and have a 200-year-old house that other contractors do not want to be bothered with, and they also overcharge. Considering Haller had to drive 2 hours to get to me, the cost of manhours for the drive as well as the trucks is simply expected to be added to the estimate. I was happy they took the job as most companies will not go the distance. The representative came within a week to give the estimate, and the crews came the next week which was super-fast. Everyone did an excellent job, The work crews were great, and did clean, professional work, no fooling around- they know what they are doing and do it FAST! 1 day for the panel, 1,5 days for the heat pump mini split system. I highly recommend Haller and will be hiring them again for other work.Review from Trex P

Got an offer in the mail from Haller for a "free" estimate for an electrical system upgrade for an old house. Called to schedule and it took 15 minutes just to make an appointment. Then, in a separate call, was informed there would be a $79 dispatch fee. At least they did call to tell me that. Now feeling disenchanted, I called back to cancel the appointment and that took another 10 minutes waiting on hold while the representative checked with their supervisor. Does anyone else think that maybe the estimate is not free if getting the estimate costs at least $79? The amount of time spent just making and cancelling an appointment made me wonder what would happen with coordinating the work itself, and the "free/not free" bait and switch made me wonder what special fees would be added to any contracted work.Review from Anibal A

Came to the house to do a “tune-up” in late 2021. The technician had difficulty with device (attached to his phone) running the payment at end of visit. He called and email office. He ran cc several times and device failed. He finally heard back from office. He ran again. Said payment went through. Didn’t provide a receipt for payment. I questioned whether he was certain payment went through. He said if there were any problems, I would hear from the office. I never heard anything until early 2023 from a collection agency. I called Haller an inquired as to why they never notified me by calling or sending me a statement for service. They responded that they save paper and money by not mailing statements. We were unaware that the payment at the end of the service call was never processed. They offered little explanation and said that he (Joshua) receives many complaints such as this. Not great customer service, billing office or a good way to do business. Will NEVER do business with them again.Review from Wanda H

On Christmas day my Father's furnace went out. On the 26th he spoke with a Haller Rep who advised replacing the furnace for $16,000. When he declined that offer he was told a service tech would come out between 12-4 pm on the 28th. When no one arrived by 4:15 pm he called and was told that they would not be coming because they could not service his furnace due to safety reasons. How despicable is that - to leave someone without heat in less than 7-degree temperatures without offering any other options except spending $16,000. On the 29th we contacted another company who said they could come out that day or the next. On the 30th the other company replaced the coil and fixed an electrical problem and the furnace immediately kicked on. This action took less than one hour and cost a little over $100. We have scheduled a service in the Spring/Summer to determine future furnace services or upgrades. OPTIONS!!!! But that is not the end! on 1/10 "Otis" called my father and left a message stating that "they have secured him a loan, if he wanted to replace the furnace now." He never agreed to the new furnace, nor did he ask them for a loan, which he would not need. I understand that a company is in business to make money, which I have no problem with. But to leave an 82-year-old without any options, as Haller, did is unacceptable and makes it abundantly clear that they were only interested in replacing the furnace no matter the cost (monetarily or physically) to my father. This type of practice should be considered criminal. T-O-T-A-L-L-Y U-N-A-C-C-E-P-T-A-B-L-E!Review from kyle b

Had Haller Enterprises come to the house because the air conditioner stopped. The technician arrived and said the blower motor was bad, and the capacitor and contacts should also be replaced. The total would be $1742.71 including a $383.56 discount because of being on their maintence program. With it being a hot summer day what was a single mom putting a child through college suppose to do? The technician was at the location for 3 hrs according to my son and that included him taking a break to “cool off” I was talking with gentleman who owns a well established hvac company “ but isn’t taking on any new customers” and showed him the bill and he instant reply was “ WOW they took her ” so I then began to look up the parts to see rough prices. I am attaching pictures of the prices of OEM parts that the public can purchase and I would assume that a large business can purchase these parts at a discount lower then the general public. Now Haller does not charge a per hour rate – the technician determines a price when they figure out what is wrong and that includes labor. So in my opinion the prices they charged were out of this world and I will let you decide and form your own opinion. A dispatch fee of $79.00 I can accept this. But to replace the blower motor they charged $1299.85 the actual part could be purchased for $225.82 from Granger, to replace the capacitor $235.47 which could be purchased for $11.88 from Lowes and to replace the contacts $256.78 which could be purchased for 15.99 from Amazon. The total for all the parts if you bought them yourself would of cost $253.69. I am attaching pictures of all this with this review. In my opinion a business needs to make money however the technician was at the location 3 hrs and again the total amount charged was $1742.71 which again was discounted $383.56, the total parts could have been purchased for $253.69 which leads to the amount of $1485.93 which would you call a reasonable fee for a business to charge for laborReview from John P

Please use caution when using Haller Enterprises. Was quoted almost 1 thousand dollars for a repair that should have cost a fifth of that price. Did not allow them to perform services. Ended up using a local comany to repair my AC for less than 175 dollars. Contacted company for an explanation but got nowhere. They tried pushing a monthly service plan for discounted pricing but that price isnt all that much better. Shop around!Review from Lissa C

I am a woman in my 60'and on disability, I received some money and decided I wanted an HVAC system put in. I was at Home Depot and Haller's had a stand there. So I bought my system from Haller's. The day they came to install, They stood around for 2 hours waiting for another employee to show up. They then proceeded to attach my unit to my basement wall. They never said a word to me about it and never explained why they did it. The unit vibrates my wall and there is now a crack down the side, which they said was my house settling. They then proceeded to cut all the wires to my electric baseboard heat. Never said a word to me, found out that fall when I tried turning on my heat to my bathroom. No explanation for that was ever given. Last year the fan went out, only 4 years old, paid $852.00 in labor, money I was saving up to rewire some of my baseboard heat. This year the condenser went out, 5 years old, I can't afford to fix as I am on Disabiity. I have sent them 2 letters and no response. Just want others to know before they get this company to do work for them.Review from Lea S
