******************* Better Business Bureau Complaint On 07/13/21, I paid $299 in what was advertised as a radio contest through *********** for a vacation to Orlando and Las Vegas. During my call with AlwaysTravel, I was told during the phone call that I had a full year to cancel my trip and receive a refund. This was a legal representative of the organization that had told me I have a full year to receive my refund in a recorded call. When I tried to receive a refund on December 14th, 2021, I was told that in my contract I had only 30 days to receive a refund without, "any penalty or obligation." The contract itself does not state that I would not be eligible for a full or partial refund, instead that I may incur some penalty or obligation. This, in addition to the deceitful practice of promoting this vacation as a contest in which the "contestant" has to pay is a deceitful practice. Additionally, the penalties and obligations are not specified beyond these two terms in the contract. Since the penalties and obligations aren't specified to include a loss of a partial or full refund, it is also an unethical practice from AlwaysTravel to not offer a refund of any kind, since its contract did not specify that I may incur a loss of my deposit for winning this contest. Based on the vague language of the contract, and the call that I had with an AlwaysTravel Representative, I believe I am still entitled to a refund from AlwaysTravel. The contract also states that only those represented in the contract should be relied upon. This would include the call from an official representative of AlwaysTravel who had told me I have a year to make my refund. I am requesting the assistance of the Better Business Bureau to help me get my refund as well as highlight the unethical and deceptive practices that AlwaysTravel is imploring on unsuspecting individuals thinking that they have won a contest.
