I purchased a FHI Heat Curve Pro Styling Iron 1 and requested to return due to the poor quality of how this product is made. However, I was told it is a non-returnable item, which is absurd! This cost about $100. Bed Bath and Beyond only has (2) 5-star reviews on this product, which leads me to believe they dont post reviews that are horrible. I have posted my review and well see if they approve it to be posted. Ive never heard of any large retail company not accepting returns on hair styling products. Im assuming this has something to do with the company filing bankruptcy, but Im not sure if their return policy has always been the same or if it has changed since the news was released on the bankruptcy filing.Review from Danielle C

I wish I could give 0 stars. I purchased a couch and it was missing parts. I contacted customer service and only after calling multiple times over the course of a week did they finally initiate a request for replacement parts. That was weeks ago. I am still waiting on the parts. When I called ***************************** service today I asked when I could expect the missing parts and the rep's ***************************** basically, "I don't know." I have now had half of a couch for over a month now, with no indication of when the rest of the couch will come. I have had at least 10 phone calls with ***************************** service and no one has been any help. It's absolutely terrible the way that they do business. I just want what I paid for within a reasonable time frame!!!!Review from Sara I

I was given an estimated delivery of 8/14/24 for an item needed for an event on 8/16/24. On 8/15/24, I received notification the item is delayed. I came ***************************** service, was told by Mbali that there was no one who could assist me- that my item left the warehouse on 8/14/24 to go to *** then placed me on a 10 minute hold for her supervisor. I called back after this wait, spoke to Precious who then placed me on a 25 minute hold. I then spoke to *****, who was unsure of why I was told my item left the warehouse by Mbali, that it was in fact still at the warehouse. I requested the order be canceled and a refund issued. He said that was not possible and not only that, but I'll be charged to return the item! This is a scam/fraud to get money from customers who are returning products they still have in their possession. ***** reports he is the top of anyone I can speak to, hence coming here. I called immediately upon being notified my item won't be delivered on time only to be told they still had my item and refused to issue a refund. This is not only harmful to customers to scam them, it's harming the environment as well.Review from Bill K.

I am writing about my horrible experience with Bed Bath and Beyond. I purchased a $1000 outside patio table and chairs from them. I was unfortunately not able to open it right away, so i did open it after the 30 days for return. When I did finally open the boxes I realized right away that the first chair was defective, and I screws and the holes to put together were not aligned and impossible to put together. I immediately contacted their customer service and was told that due to the issue they would send me replacement chairs even though I was out of the 30 day window. I was told it would take some time, so I put together the rest of the table and good chairs and waited. After about a month I called back in and was told nothing was done, even though they could see the original request. I as told over the phone the second time that they would put in a request for this. A few days later I get an email saying it can be a partial order and I would need to return the whole thing. I said that is fine and to come get the pieces. I was then told i would need to take it apart and return it (after I was told the replacement chairs would be sent, so I put the chairs and table together which took 2 hours). I told them I wouldn't do that because I would have to take them fully apart again after I was promised I would get replacements Everytime I email them I get a different answer from a different rep. I was offered a $50 credit in store, then $180 credit in store, once again I was told I would get replacement chairs and that person never got back to me, then they went back to $50 credit. It has been a very frustrating experience and it is obvious they have a problem with overseas customer service. At this point I want to return the item and I want a full refund. However, I refuse to spend 2 hours taking it apart and getting new boxes based on the fact I was promised new chairs before putting it together.Review from Toni H

If I could I would give them 0/5. I purchased a shower curtain that never arrived even though the app indicated the item had been delivered. Ive been given the runaround for over a week just trying to get a replacement shipped. I had multiple representatives promise that once the tracing was completed, the replacement item would be shipped in 1-2 business days. Then, when I called today to get an update they said all of those representatives were wrong and it could take up to 5 days to process and then another 3 to 6 days to ship. I said I would have never agreed to the replacement if I knew it was going to take this long and that I wanted a refund instead. They then indicated that they couldnt cancel the replacement (and possibly not issue a refund) because the item had already been shipped to their warehousebut you know still had to process I guess. They said they couldnt issue the refund until the case had been settled (4 days) and then processed with the bank (another 3 to 5 days). It all seems like a cosmic joke at this point. Felt like I was being punished for something the mail lost.Review from Regina W

The worst companies, ever. I have tried to resolve an issue for over a year. I purchased a rug back in November 2023. I returned it because it did not match my furniture. As of today, I have still not been able to come to a resolution. I have spoken to a representatives after representatives, manager after manager, and as of today, which is July 31, 2024, still no movement on this situation. Bed, ***************************** is no longer in business. Overstock is apparently affiliated with them, and now it is called Beyond. The individuals answering the phones in customer service is a joke. They are trying to charge me for something I never owned. Then they are trying to add late fees on, and do not want to pay me for a shipping label. What a RIP OFF!!!Review from Ema M

On June 28, 2024 I made a purchase of a wine cooler under with Bed Bath and Beyond Company now owned by Overstock. I was expecting to receive a brass finish exact as the picture that Bed Bath and Beyond shows on their website, it is worth mentioning that when I searched the web for brass finish wine fridge, I found the same picture that the seller has on their site. I have records that show I emailed them since July 3, 2024. The situation is that it is not what I was expected and I just want them to pick up the item and send a full refund of my money. It has been several days without a satisfactory response. I was asked to contact the manufacturer directly, and I did on July 3rd 2024 , and they clarified that they do not offer the item in a brass finish, I mentioned to them about the same picture in the web . They send me back to the seller to request a return item as well as a full refund. As today July 26th still don't have an answer. This is another of the totally useless SCAM that Bed Bath and Beyond uses. They will not allow me to write a review on all the Bate and Switch that they have been doing. I have generated multiple emails to lay out the ***** that they have performed in this order.After I ordered this, I tried to cancel it, but their email would not accept my cancel. So I had to find another email, but they dont put that on the order site.I checked out as a guest and they offered me a 20 % discount, but they would not allow it to be applied to the order.I did find a email that would accept the cancel order and sent them a email to cancel. They refused to cancel the order, saying that it had been over 60 minutes since the order and that they couldnt cancel. From the time that I sent the email to cancel until the time that *** received the package was 12 hours. These people just cant do their jobs as ***************************** care reps.They said that they could not cancel because the shipping label had been generated, this was 10 hours before *** received the package. They said that I had to receive it before they could offer a return.Once I got the package, they wanted $ ***** to ship it back for the return. This is because they could not do their job and cancel the order in a 12 hour period.So I requested that they match the price at ******* of $ 29 with free shipping, and they refused. A couple of the agents would not even address the issue.At last one did say that if I paid them another $19.95 then they would consider a match offer, but didnt think it would work since it was on sale.I was charged $ ***** over what ******* was selling this same item for. They will not match without me paying $19.95 I would recommend that NOBODY ever order from this place again. They went bankrupt and closed all stores that took expired coupons, but now they wont even accept the coupons they offer on line. I ordered an outdoor coffee table from them, when it arrived the item was damaged. I called ***************************** service and they agreed to send a replacement. The replacement arrived and it was damaged as well, I again called ***************************** service and since the table was now back ordered they could not send a replacement. Instead they offered me a partial refund to keep one of the damaged items which I accepted. They then sent me an RMA and *** tracking number and scheduled *** to pick up the item. The next day 5/28/2024 *** came picked up the item and gave me a receipt. Then on 7/8/24 they charged my card stating that they did not receive the return. I called ***************************** service who said they had no record of *** picking up the item, so I would need the pick up receipt and they would give me a refund. I provided them the receipt I was given as well as the tracking number and ring video footage of *** picking up the item. ***************************** service then said it was not enough proof since they still have not received the item. The next ***************************** service agent said, I see the item was picked up but that they need to file a claim with their partner (whoever that is) and that they would help and asked I provide my phone number and email address. When I sent it to them they changed their story again and said they could not refund me until they receive the item (it has not moved since 5/28). I have called multiple times and they promised a supervisor would call me back which has never happened. I have emailed multiple times and every ***************************** service agent tells me a different story. There is no way to get a clear answer or resolution with them as it keeps going around in circles. They stole my money for item I returned to them and refuse to help. I ordered and received a rug that had the correct labels for the product on the packaging. I did not actually open the product until it was needed, which was 21 days after the 30 day return period. The product recieved did not match what was ordered in the website or in the product packaging/labeling. They refuse to accept a return or swap the product for the correct product. In addition, they declined to post my review about the incorrect product being received. If labeled incorrectly, they need to resolve the problem to avoid the same issues with other consumers. I am extremely disappointed in their ***************************** service and failure to exchange a product misrepresented on their website.
