Definitely a scam!!! Sent in a wire harness about a year ago and have yet to see it. Every time I contact them it is the same run around. "Read the fine print, we have 2 years until you can file a claim". "We are putting it through the process but if you pay us more we can expedite" Yeah right, all lies. I am out close to $1000. Even worse, my customer is out a **************** that is still not available from the dealer. Expensive ****** learned. Stay away from these people. If there was a way to give negative star rating, I would. Do you research before you trust anyone.

WOW, this is the type of thing that destroys your faith in humanity. But on the other hand, considering the thousands of harnesses that pass through our doors. A few dishonest people are to be expected. Everything in this review is dishonest if not defamation. It is a shame that this person wants to try to damage our company but is willing to harm his customer, all because WHR will not be blackmailed. This customer wanted to be bumped to the front of the line without paying for it. He took the Military discount but never submitted proof of service. We refused to be bullied and complied with our contract and delivered a restored harness that passed all testing. Our work has a lifetime warranty, which this customer is aware of, but he apparently would rather complain to BBB and try to hurt our business instead of working with us. We are not interested in the BBB pay-to-play, (look it up). WHR has never had a warranty, that is right, ZERO warranty claims on our workmanship. So we would highly recommend avoiding this customer and Last Frontier Auto Sales.

Extremely rude customer service. I Paid over a thousand dollars to have a harness only worth eight hundred restored. Its been 2 months since the company has had it and there is no end in sight so I was forced to buy a used replacement harness now I dont even need the harness the company has still yet to finish. They will not give you a time estimate unless you pay them an extremely ridiculous fee they requested another sixteen hundred dollars just to get an estimate of completion. The company is best described by the word vulture. They know if youre in a tight enough bind to send it to them in the first place they can try to wait you out and never finish your harness in order to prey on you and get you to send them more money. Im making them finish the harness I dont even need anymore in hopes that they will either wait so long to do it that I can take legal action. The company makes grand claims of how many customers they have paying them multiple times what the harnesses are worth to have them fixed clearly ran by someone with a large ego that has no care for other peoples money . They will absolutely act unprofessional and argue with you if you even just ask them questions they dont like. I myself work on tractors for a living and regularly have to order parts or have them repaired Ive never dealt with a company as unprofessional as them in my many experiences. The other customer who wrote a view was dead on and the companies response shows EXACTLY what they are like. If you want a real review just read the other one posted and look for yourself how the company responds to complaints. Its clearly ran by a egotistical stingy hot head who is out to take every dime he can from you then argue with you when you point out his companies many issues. Do not give this terrible person any of your hard earned money if you do its highly unlikely youll ever get your harnesss back anyway.

At any given time, Wiring Harness Restoration will have 100 to 200 harnesses in process. We are the source for restoration because we figured out how to do it. We restore everything from vintage jukebox harnesses to tank harnesses for the US military. Sadly, some customers make assumptions rather than educating themselves on the process. All customers are given access to our policies and contract before they ever send in the harness. We are a restoration company, we do not do repairs and restorations take time, how long depends on the harness. This customer apparently did not read our contract and then demanded special treatment, making threats, and making untrue claims in an effort to get what he wanted. Some customers pay extra to have it finished faster. It is not fair to them if we let a customer go the the front of the line without paying for it. You would not like it it we did that to you right? //Email exchange with the customer:7/26/24 from customers Ive signed, if Im required to pay now please send a link to where I can pay. If possible please let me know as soon as the harness is complete. the vehicle it is for is still currently in the shop and the mechanics are desperate to get it completed because the car has been there about a month and a half due to lack of availability for a replacement harness. 7/26/24 WHR response If time is an issue, then we would recommend starting on the silver or gold production line. That is the fastest possible way we can finish it. I have attached a copy of the bid, it is under the section titled Optional Silver and Gold Production Lines. If you would like to stay on the bronze line, we can move forward with the work authorization. Just let us know. Thanks. 7/26/24 response from customers Please move forward with the bronze package unfortunately I do not have the extra money for the silver or gold. // Customers response is key, he admits that he understands that the silver and gold are optional and at an extra charge as explained in the bid. ///8/22/24 email from customer Im extremely confused by your bid. Ive already sent your company 1300$ are you telling me that on top of that 1300$ I already sent you want 1600$ more just to move my product to the silver line?? The harnesses Brand new retailed for 800$. the only reason Im rebuilding mine is the lack of availability. When you quoted me 1600$ for the silver line are you telling me that you need another full 1600$ or you need 300$ to add on to the 1300$ Ive already sent. Sorry I just dont think these prices are reasonable if youre expecting another 1600$ when the harnesses themselves BRAND NEW are only worth 800$ so far Ive paid you 500$ over msrp to fix my harness are you now requesting me to give you 1600$ more just to finish my job in a timely fashion? If youre wanting an additional 300$ so the total Ive sent raises to 1600 I would understand but if the price for the silver line is another full 1600$ on top of the 1300$ I already sent you I full heartedly decline. ///The customer thinks the cost of a new one (that he admits he cannot buy) should be the same as a restoration. This makes no sense. We attempt to make the customer understand that the original manufacture built 100 thousand or more harnesses. They received volume discounts form manufactures. We are not building a new harness, we are restoring his, the original cost does not apply in a restoration. Customer then sends a rude email and ignores what we told him, still thinks he should only be charged what a new one costs. The then tells us to finish the harness as per the contract. This was on 8/22/24. less than a week later he files a BBB review. How dishonest. We agree to finish as per the contract and notify him that he must keep his communication professional. The fact is, he just wanted to cut to the front of the line. So we would highly recommend avoiding this customer.

      Wiring Harness Restoration Response

      05/29/2024

Wow, what a rollercoaster ride with this guy. He starts fine but then false statements, and accusations, wanting to go to the front of the line without paying for it. Sad that people do that but then with all the harnesses we restore it is a very small fraction that resorts to that tactic. Demands the harness returned, followed by apologies and it all starts again. No matter what solution we tried to offer the customer, nothing was good enough, short of waiving a magic wand and making it better. He wanted us to cut corners on the work because it was going to trade it in and let the dealer deal with the problems. We dont do that. He is in breach of contract and lashing out. But that is just our opinion.

Stay away, this company is nightmare. You just get delay after delay and request for more money. Then when you finally get you parts back you will be very disappointed with workmanship. We had to repair the work they did to the crankshaft, camshaft position sensor and replace 10 pins in ECM connector. STAY AWAY.

Our work has a lifetime warranty, which this customer is aware of, but he apparently would rather complain to BBB and try to hurt our business instead of alerting us to any issues. However, in October of 23, the costumer sent us photos of connector pins with wires attached, that were cut from a harness. He claimed that he had to replace it from the harness we sent him. The problem is the colors on the wires were not a match. They were not used by the manufacturer of the vehicle. Clearly cut, in a very amateur way, from a junkyard harness. Sure felt like extortion. Now, a year after the customer received the ****************, he filed a BBB review with new claims. He never mentioned any of this in October. We are not interested in the BBB pay-to-play, (look it up) and we are not going to give this guy any money. WHR has never had a warranty, that is right, ZERO warranty claims on our workmanship. As such, we highly doubt the allegations in this review. Unfortunately, untrue reviews are a part of owning a business. So we would highly recommend avoiding this customer.

      Wiring Harness Restoration Response

      05/29/2024

In the initial contact the customer asked us if it would take a month. We said not likely because restorations take time. We explained that we are not using cheap aftermarket parts that have been linked to fires, and that we would need to test and inspect it. In the test and inspection we find that the harness is in very bad shape and would take longer than normal and he selected the slower bronze production line. We discuss the silver production line to finish it faster by skipping the deoxidation of the connector pins with the use or A-grade pins. He fully understood the process and production lines, and decided against the silver or gold production lines. We start work, we told him it would take around 10 days to disassemble the harness and we would report back then. 3 days later he is asking for an update. We send him an update at about 30 days, is response is it been too long we need this harness asap. We respond with I dont understand why you would say that. How long do you think a harness restoration should take? Would you like a bid for the silver or gold production line? Again, we discussed the silver and gold production line before he signed the contract. His response was is this why the delay so you can get me to pay more we need the harrness please We remind him about our discussion about the silver and gold production lines and send him a copy of the contract. He demands to be moved to the front of the line without paying for it. We tell him no, he says he does not want to pay any more money, we say that if fine, we will finish as per the contract, that he signed and that we had just sent him a copy of. His response is i neede it finished on the Broze line it still works just fine get me the harrness working please Our response is We will continue the restoration on the bronze line, as per the contract. 10 days later he says i need my harness customer is getting very impatience please At this point it would seem that he has not explained the process to his customer. His response is you had it over a month you should have some thing completed by now But we told him from the start that it would take over a month. At the very start of all this, he almost ordered the silver production line which has a faster production time. But he did not then, wants the silver production line at no charge, that is not fair to other customers. He denies signing a contract, we send him a copy, he denies it again. He asks for it to be returned as-is, he breaches the contract and files a review, we are of the opinion that it is untrue. Businesses, we recommend that you avoid this customer.

      Wiring Harness Restoration Response

This customer could the worst ever and we recommend that any business reading this avoid this person. In our opinion, this is one of the most unreasonable and ignorant customers we have done business with. We have restored harnesses for the military, state, and local governments, right down to the shade tree DYI mechanic, We love the fact that the majority of our customers are great to work with and honest, now if we could only weed out the 1% that are not. Ignoring, for now, the blatant defamation of character and the dishonest statements, in the customers review, the fact is if you don't do that or breach the contract, you don't talk to attornies. Now, here are the facts. What he leaves out is that he does not have the truck anymore, so he thinks we should just forget all the work we put into restoring the harness and give him money. His 3-year comment is complete BS and he knows it. We tried to help this customer, we could have consigned his **************** and sold it for him when he no longer needed it. We offered faster production lines, the problem is, he wanted that for free, not really fair to other customers. He did not read the contract, we had just finished the disassembly of the harness and started on pin deoxidation in he started complaining about how long it will take and at this point accusing us of fraud. Nothing but vailed attempts to get something for free. This customer repeatedly called the sales department demanding updates, which is something that sales cannot do. Tells us that he picked the restoration work that he could afford, and that is fine, we are happy to help, but it is not our fault if you have a champaign taste on a beer budget. He could have taken the harness to a repair company, that would use cheap aftermarket parts, but then he would have had to send it to us after that cheap repair burned the harness up. We see that all the time, and that is why we do it right the first time. He would endlessly complain about how covid affected him but seems to think that it should not have affected anyone else.

Horrible communication and shoty work at best. You want a wiring harness fixed I would look elsewhere. Took over 2 years to get mine back and missing the correct connector and they terminated connectors I needed. Then you send pictures of wires with no insulation, bare wires covered in silicone, and wires in the harness about 4 inches going to nothing and they tell you you voided your warranty even though they never sent you that information.

      Wiring Harness Restoration Response

      08/01/2022

After everything we did to try to help this customer he resorts to leaving a dishonest review. If you are a business looking for a customer I would not recommend ******, no matter how you try to help him, he will ignore what you tell him, not follow the install instructions, void the warranty, then say it is your fault. Bad customer, would not recommend. Here are the facts. ****** send us an automatic harness that he wanted to be converted to manual, this is on a computer-controlled 4x4. ****** did not have the *** of the vehicle the transmission came out of and he did not get the manual transmission harness with the transmission, that way we could have merged the two with no issues. Because of this, we advised ****** to send us photos of all the connectors on the transmission/transfer case, he would not. We told him that it may not match due to manufacturing changes that were not noted in the diagrams and specs. If that happens he would need to send it back so that we could make changes. ****** agreed to this and paid us to RESTORE and MODIFY the harness, NOT fix it. In his email to us asked if WHR would you be able to modify it for a manual transmission?. We said we could and he sent it in. After we tested and inspected it we sent ****** some options, here is his response was yes option 1 for the ***.** with the xx% free tech discount.. The free tech discount is a discount in which the tech would only work on it when he had free time. When the work was completed, we sent it to him with an info sheet, it said the install instructions have been emailed to you, do not attempt to install the harness without reading it. Here is an email we received from ******, Hi, on my wiring harness that I had done by you guys is missing the part of the harness that hooks to the front axle actuator for the 4 wheel drive. How am I supposed to make this work?.WHR Response We explained at the start that one of the challenges of doing a job like this is that we do not have the original harness to build from. So we must rely on OEM specs which are often wrong. That could be what happened here. So the process for this is that we need you to send us a photo of the connector housing that you have, that is missing from this harness, also a rough estimate of the length needed. Then we will have you send in the harness so we can make the modifications. You can send the photos to this email address, thanks.*Note* He did not indicate that he has not received the install instructions. His response, I can understand that one of the sensors on the transmission is not there but the original harness that had the front axle actuator that was left off is frustrating. I can get some pictures and send them to you and we can start there.WHR response, The problem is that the manufacturer will make changes mid-production run, diagrams and specs get superseded, any they don't always update the information. We will get it worked out.****** did not do that, instead, he removed the sealant and wrap. The instructions said that this should not be done and would void the warranty because it could damage the wire insulation if not removed correctly. Even after he did this we offered to look at it and see what we could work out. Instead, ****** left this review, just sad.
