I am filing this complaint regarding automotive repair services and parts retention by Cove Run Customs. Below are the specific details of my experience: Initial Service Request (Date of Service: February 12th, 2025): - PCV valve installation - Valve cover gasket replacement - Motor mounts replacement (full set) - Engine tune-up - All parts were customer-supplied Actual Services Performed: - Valve cover gasket replacement - Partial motor mount replacement (only 2 of the mounts) - Engine tune-up - PCV valve not installed Parts and Property Issues: 1. The shop initially retained my customer-supplied parts without authorization: - PCV valve - Intake manifold gaskets - ******* transmission mount (SKP brand) 2. While I was able to retrieve the PCV valve and intake manifold gaskets through a follow-up visit, the shop continues to retain my ******* transmission mount ($40 value) without authorization. Evidence of Incomplete Work: 1. The vehicle's clock was never reset, which is a standard procedure when disconnecting the battery. 2. Physical inspection reveals that no screws were removed from the battery box area, which would have been necessary to access and replace the transmission mount. 3. The transmission mount installation area shows no signs of work being performed. Attempted Resolution: 1. I have made a personal visit to retrieve some of my retained parts. 2. I have sent a formal notice of reimbursement and invoice to the business on February 15, 2025. 3. The business has not responded to my request for the return of my property or reimbursement. Requested Resolution: I am seeking: 1. Return of my ******* transmission mount, or 2. Reimbursement of $40.00 USD for the retained part Documentation Available: - Original service request documentation - Parts purchase receipts from ******** - Notice of reimbursement sent to business - Invoice sent to business - Photographs of the engine bay showing unperformed work

    Business Response

    Date: 02/19/2025

I have tried to call the customer, and recently emailed to let him know that the part was put behind his driver seat. No response. As it states in receipt, he was charged for both engine mounts and valve cover gasket. Which labor was raised on the valve cover gasket due to him supplying spark plugs as well.
