    On 5/3/2022 I paid ***** Shackelford ***** to install a walk in tub. He demolished bathroom and set tub in on 7/10/22 and never came back to finish the job. He would call or text and say he way on his way to do finish the work and never showed up. In September he said he was busy. He finally agreed to pay me back. I asked for ***** back and he said it would be there the next Saturday (this would have have been th first Saturday in January 2023. He never paid and won't answer calls or text messages. I am aware he change the name of his business every year to avoid paying taxes. I asked if it was legal and he said it was but letting you know just in case as his business cannot be found on line now but it is posted on his ******** page.He only takes cash or check and doesn't write up a contract until the work is done. It is my first time buying my own home and was not aware of needing to get something in writing. I do however have my check stubs and many text messages. This has caused a lot of sleepless nights as well as doubling the cost. Your help would be greatly appreciated. ***********************

    Thank you for your response. He only took cash out check and said he doesnt write an invoice until the job is complete. Ima first time gone over so wasnt aware of the need to check for the license (which he didnt get until the day someone else finished his job I paid for). He posted his business in his ******** and had a business card for his other business shack and drain. Anything I would send you would be two checks he cashed/photos of his ******** advertising his two businesses (which do not have web sites and I discovered are not registered with the state). I have since applied for small claims court and have a court date for June 14th. I can show the evidence in court but to show you the check and ******** and text messages would all be personal information that indicated in your letter you cannot use. After he received the certified letter to go to court, he removed his businesses from his ******** account (though I have photos of his ******** page). His businesses arent registered with the state so at least he isnt advertising them anymore. I think what you would have done was check into his non existent businesses and at least that is accomplished for now. Hopefully I can get my money back in court. If you would like to look into this more I do have a business card and text messages(but not sure that would be accepted). Thank you for taking time to review my fraud claim. Hopefully he changes his ways.
