    Trojan Storage unlawfully raised my rent without providing the 30-day advance written notice required by Washington State law and the terms of our lease.I signed a lease agreement on June 11, 2024, with a base rent of $120/month and a two-month 50% promotional discount. Without warning, the company began charging me $230/month starting in August 2024. At no point did I receive proper written notice via email or mail as clearly required in the contract.I contacted the company on multiple occasions. They have failed to provide any verifiable proof of sending a rent increase notice. The only "notice" they offered was a document generated long after the increase was applied. I recently received a lien warning based on the inflated charges, further compounding the harm.I believe this may be a pattern of deceptive conduct that violates both the lease and Washington consumer protection laws. I am requesting a refund of the overcharges, cancellation of all unjustified fees, and restoration of the original rental rate.

    Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

    A rent increase notice was generated and sent to the tenant on June 30, 2024, providing 30 days' notice ahead of the ****** billing cycle. This is our standard procedure for all rate adjustments. A copy of the notice, along with a screenshot from our system confirming the date it was sent is attached.

    The rent increase was applied appropriately, and all charges are accurate based on the terms of the lease.
