I called this company to have a tech look at my furnace on 11/9/22 and after coming out that afternoon, the tech claimed I had a number of parts that would cost thousands. He stressed the safety concerns, and ultimately suggested a new unit. Since the weather is extremely cold (my house was 49 degrees F) and my children and I had been without heat for 2 evenings, I felt obligated to put a deposit down for half of a new unit ($3860) and schedule the appointment the next day. I did receive an invoice later in the day however all it included in the body was the cost of the unit including labor, the warranty and the deposit I paid. I was able to mitigate the issue via repairs since the price was extremely expensive ($7800). I tried to call early the next morning to cancel kindly asked to receive a refund however the ** talked over me, explained that there would be a 15% restocking fee ($1200) and that I'm obligated to pay that fee (paying a restocking fee on the total price which includes labor). I said I'm more than happy to pay the cost of the technician who came out the previous day. He would not let me speak and continued to talk to me in a condescending manner. I did not sign any agreement or receipt nor did my invoice that was emailed to me state any of these "obligations". He said if I contacted the BBB he could put a lean on my home. When the tech took my deposit, I didn't have to sign for anything, nor did I receive any return policy verbally or in writing. There was no verbiage around the return window or restocking fee due if canceling. I'm stuck in a difficult situation now financially and I'm not sure how to resolve this. Even if I cannot, I don't want anyone, especially a single income household, to have to experience what I have with Chandler ******************************************** I have yet to receive any refund and they have $3,860 of my money yet I did not receive services.
