    Colony Apartments has charged me hundreds of dollars for damages and cleaning fees upon my move-out of the complex. They sent me the notice of the bill on a Tuesday three weeks after I moved out and less than a week later they sent me a pre-collections notice. I find that an unprofessional business practice. Upon move-out I was encouraged to pay the 250$ cleaning fee and that it would be cheaper overall. Yet I still got charged for various cleaning fees in the bill sent to me, leading me to wonder what the point of the cleaning fee was. The other charges billed were damages such as putting nails in the wall to hang pictures and curtains. 200$ in painting fees to paint spots like these. I believe the Colony has been unfair and added more financial stress to an already financially stressful move.
