  On May 29th, 2025, Brandon P Douglas, who owns 24 Hour Bear Tree Service, phone ************, with an address of **** ****** *** ****** ** *****, performed the felling of 2 maple trees and the trimming of 3 others on my property. The contract states that he was to cut up the wood and leave it for my personal use, which he did, but he ignored my verbal instructions, which he acknowledged and repeated back to me correctly, on the length of what the wood pieces would be. He also had correct length; physical pieces of wood, I gave him for reference.
  I have chronic health conditions and became very ill shortly after Mr Douglas began the work, because of which, I was unable to monitor his work. He phoned me when his work was close to being completed, and upon seeing how ill I was when I went to the door, he put his hand on my shoulder, and with my permission, he said a prayer for me.
  I paid Mr Douglas $4,000 for the work by check #****, that same day. The following day when I felt better, I went outside to inspect the work that was performed and found that many of the pieces were cut too long and large pieces of the trunk were not completely cut through, contrary to my instructions, which he verbally acknowledged. This wood is to be burned in my wood stove, so proper length is important.
  On both 6/14 and 6/28, I spoke with Mr Douglas, by phone, about this issue, but all he did was make excuses for the performed work, although he did on both occasions, promise to return and cut the wood to the proper lengths, but he has not. If he doesn't return, I will be forced to do the work myself, which I paid him $4,000 to do, a breach of contract.

  I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
  
  Brandon Douglas, the owner of 24 Hr Bear Tree Service, did call me on 8/12, but only offered the same empty excuses and promises that he made to me on our 6/14 and 6/28 phone calls. No concrete plans were made to satisfy my complaints about the work that he performed and was paid for on 5/29/25.
