Bash Boxing opened up a location in ***********, ** earlier this year. Me and my daughter (13 year old) started going to the studio for Boxing workouts on June 25, 2023. After the initial few classes, we enjoyed the setup and decided to buy a pack of 20 classes for $399 on Aug 14, 2023. The pack of classes was valid for 6 months. We consumed 17 classes up till October 30, 2023. On October 23, 2023, ********************* (CEO) sent an email informing all members that the *********** location is shutting down effective immediately. They offered to move our remaining classes to locations in ******* and Arlington. Both locations are a good ***** mins drive from where I live so it is very hard for me to go there just for a ******************************************** for the 3 remaining classes and wished them best of luck. However, they refused to do so stating that their system won't allow them to and also because the classes are non-refundable. This is extremely unprofessional and unethical given the studio was closed at a 24 hour notice. How are we expected to utilize the remaining classes? The *** has been emailing me and telling me that they don't have funds to refund me for the remaining classes. How is that possible if they are still running the remaining 4 locations (**********************************************)? I would request you to kindly look into this issue. It might be a small amount but this is exploitation of the consumers

    Hi!

************** did in fact purchase a 20 pack of classes at our *********** location (a standalone entity and business - unaffiliated with other BASH locations and operated with a completely separated P&L) - and used 17 of the 20 classes. Prior to his ability to use his remaining three classes, we unfortunately made the decision to close the business due to failing economics.

Outside of our system limitations (which do not allow us to process partial refunds - ref: **********), prior to his first class at BASH ************** reviewed and signed an intake form that clearly outlined that Class Packs are non-refundable purchases. (Picture attached.)

************** took 17 of his 20 purchased classes, leaving a value of $59.85 outstanding - for which he requested an Amazon gift card. I realize that this amount is important to him, but understanding that our locally-owned small business had to close unexpectedly - crushing the dreams of all employees & our families - is this really worth a complaint with the BBB? Is an outstanding balance of $59.85 after taking 17 of the 20 classes worth filing the ONLY complaint we received across the entire member base? **** is embarrassed and ashamed that we had to close down our business - but we will not be taken advantage of by someone looking to capitalize on our troubles.

We are sorry that ************** was not able to take his remaining 3 classes, and as we originally offered - wed be happy to transfer those classes to another studio, but I am disappointed that ************** is using this as an opportunity to kick a small business when it's down, and that the BBB is accepting of this 'complaint'.

Attached you will find a screenshot of the portion of our intake form that ************** signed stating class packages are not refundable.
