I actually give this business a -0. NO STARS!! It seems as if you have to put a rating to be able to leave a comment, so I just pressed one star. I suggest to stay away clear from this place!!! I am self employed owner operator of a 24 foot box truck. Went to this place for an engine oil leak and transmission issues repair. First off this guy ED"the owner" assured me he could fix the issue in a timely manner. That was a lie. He kept my truck for almost 3 months. I called weekly, and toward the end I called daily. This is when ED told me over the phone. "You don't have to call every day I'm a big boy, we will get to it". I felt the need to call because I've been out of work for months and have a family to take care of. This isn't the worst part. Ed began to prolong this daily. Stating "I'll get to it", "we are looking at", "someone's test driving it". All types of excuses. One point I drove by three days in a row and the same story was given. My truck was parked in the same slot. Never moved!! The repairs to fix the oil leak was a 4-6 hour job. It took almost 3 months and truck was still leaking upon pickup. I then looked under the truck the next day. Surprise!!! either ED or one of his shade tree mechanics put silicone all underneath the oil pan and between the rear main seal to try and stop the leak. Needless to say it did not work. He stated to me "taking off the oil pan is a hard job. Mind me I looked up the time to do this . Hard job or not he said he could fix it and patched it with silicone after almost three months. On to the next issue the transmission. Ed said he couldn't fix that transmission, mind me he didn't tell me this until months into it. So he sent it to another place. "So he says". They come back and say they couldn't find anything wrong with it. After this 3 month nightmare I not only get back the truck and find out about the shady oil leak repair. On the way home the transmission was slipping out of gear and making loud noises.(same reason I took it in)... So now it is at another shop getting the same repairs done that this "ED" was supposed to have done. They have looked under the truck as well saw the silicone and stated. "This was a patch job that someone did because they didn't want to remove the pan and do it properly. So now I've been out of work 4 months because of ED. I shortened this up because it is longer than this. I just want people to get the background of this total nightmare experience. Customer service horrible!! Repair work horrible!! Willingness to work with you HORRIBLE!! One of the worst shops fit truck repair I have ever done business with. I recommend people search for another shop And stay clear of this place. Not a decent mechanic or person. Thank God someone directed me to another place with standards and great customer service. As for Ed and Metroplex, the worst mechanic experience I've ever had and I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy.
