In order to ensure that they would even take our application, they forced us to tell our current property manager that we were vacating six months before our current lease was even up. We were told that they FOR SURE had 3 apartments in the floor plan that we wanted that would be available for our move-in date.We've since started packing and getting ready for our move next month whenever they called us this morning to tell us that their renewal percentage rates were too high and that they would not have an apartment for us at all. We asked to be put in a different model, or style and they refused, saying that they are completely at capacity.We were informed that we'll be receiving our deposit back, minus the "application fee" that these crooks stole from us. They flat-out lied when they told us that they 100% had an apartment for us. They claim we were "put on a wait list", but that's simply not true. That is not what we were told.I know that the same company owns 3 complexes around here, and I've been told that they all use this weird predatory type of arrangement.There's a reason why this apartment complex has MULTIPLE negative posts about them on BC/S Reddit. Extremely unethical. We are requesting not only for our deposit back in full, but also the return of our application fees. We have attached documentation showing that we clearly asked for an August 1st move in-date, therefore ********* Capital is in violation of their own agreement. We were not given 60 days notice that the property we reserved was going to be stolen from us and given to someone else. We are also requesting that ********************* be fired from his position for malfeasance and predatory business practices. Should this not happen, we will seek every legal remedy and continue contacting every local news outlet about these inappropriate and unethical practices.
