    I used pack2normal for fire restoration services back in May. When I got my items back, I found 3 items with soot and uncleaned mixed inside of boxes with cleaned items. I reached out to them about my concern and they stated that there may have been an unforeseen oversight and when I asked about quality control process they stated they test items from every few claims. When I voiced my health concerns with my asthma and inhaling toxic smoke material, they made no effort to fix the issue just did not respond. They also had held some of my items with sentimental value to be returned to me, in which I never received these items. The company will not respond to me. I asked that at the minimum they replace the items that were not cleaned and they didnt respond. Not to mention my health concern with all my items. Since three items were dirty, how am I to know my entire house full of items are safe when they should have been cleaned by this restoration company with no quality control.

    The sentimental items were returned to the client - at first, it was discussed to drop off in-person when we were in the area. Since the timeline for this to occur didn't match for all parties, we sent the items via ***** 2-day to the address provided by the client. The restoration process for cleaning fire/soot items was explained to the client on the front end and a pre-interview checklist was signed stating that our process was explained in full; we are all human and not robots meaning that each of our technicians diligently work to ensure that every step of the process is executed to ensure that each item is restored to pre-loss condition. The items that the client is speaking about were plastic items and it was explained that over time, the soot could potentially return. The client also stated "any possibility my sentimental items could be shipped and I will just take a loss on the items that were not cleaned?". If items can't be restored to pre-loss condition, those items are deemed non-salvageable and it is the insurance company's responsibility to reimburse their policyholder. We do have a QA system - while we don't test each item that is packed out of a home (that would be impossible), we do check items throughout the cleaning process.
