Dishonest, poor service, and bad business practices when it comes to billing. I was helping my customer secure a mechanic and rotator truck to service an excavator from a auction in the Nashville area. We needed a counterweight and excavator bucket removed. At first they were very polite, seemed to have a fair rate, and understood what we needed. They fail to complete the job the same day after 5+ hours. Then arrived late to the site the following day, which delayed our trucks that were on site to load the equipment. After it was all said and done another 5+ hours later they send my customer and invoice for extra time that they were not on site for. It is important to note with them arriving late I spoke with one member or another of their office every hour or so to check on their status. When we got on the phone to have the invoice adjusted their representative Paige was combative and acted like she had done us a favor. She final sent a screenshot of his GPS showing they had over billed us for their time. The real kicker is after it was all said and done she said the bill was valid because his clock kept running while we disputed the invoice. I'd recommend you use anyone besides Specialized Truck Repair as they are definitely more trouble then they are worth.

I do apologize for the misunderstanding on this whole situation. When we were first contacted by you we were instructed to lift a counterweight off a unit and put it on the ground. When we arrived on site we learned that the counterweight was still bolted to the excavator (which was not expressed when the call was first taken-so we were not prepared for this obstacle), and also the business that this excavator and counterweight is sitting at did not want us to put the counterweight on the ground due to not having something big enough to pick it back up. We got some options lined up for you - one was to have the business this was located at have their own mechanic come out with a hydraulic wrench and get the bolts off the excavator to remove the weight or the second option was we could have our own mechanics come out and try to get the bolts off. Your decision was to have our mechanics come out and see if we could get the bolts off. Our mechanic arrived on site and attempted to get the bolts off but was unsuccessful due to the size of the bolts - he was using a 1 inch impact - and needed a bigger impact. Our wrecker driver was on site for 4 hours waiting on decisions to be made and our mechanic attempting to get the bolts off. After our mechanic was unable to get the bolts off the customer requested we come back the following day with torches to get the bolt heads off. The time was discussed and it was settled, the mechanic would be out between 9 am and 10 am - which gave him enough time to get to the shop to get the torches. We also agreed that the wrecker wouldn't need to be on site until the bolts were off - or all but 1. Our mechanic showed up at 8:53 in the morning per his GPS to begin cutting the bolts off. The customer had called and stated they also wanted the bucket taken off and loaded as well. When our mechanic got down to one bolt our wrecker driver had to go out to hook on to the counter weight to keep it from falling on the technician. Technician cut last bolt head off and wrecker was able to load the counterweight onto the trailer. Customer then requested that we cut the bolts down to 2 inches so they can have enough bolt left to get the bolts out once they get it to where it's going. The technician then had to go and cut off a bolt from the bucket and knock out 2 pins that were in it also. The wrecker then had to maneuver between another excavator that was beside the unit they were working on to get to the bucket then had to slowly move it to the trailer to load it. The GPS time I had sent for the wrecker was arrival at 12:16 pm and he sent his bill at 2:24 pm for 2.5 hours labor. We also cut our rates down for you on this as well. Both the wrecker drivers time and the mobile technicians time is documented within our GPS. We communicated the entire process and were in contact with you and your mechanics with any issues or changes. This is unfortunately a lack of information that was given to us to begin with.
