BluDoor came to my house, took pictures of the house, researched the neighborhood, and submitted the information to its underwriters, and only after all of that they offered me $170,000 for the house, subject to final inspection. Two weeks later they asked to inspect the house again, and then said they would not honor the purchase contract. The house was in exactly the same condition as it was when they initially inspected it, and they didnt discover anything wrong with the house that was new or different than was identified and discussed prior to the purchase agreement being signed. Bottom lineyou cant trust them to honor their agreement. Legal action may be available, but its not worth it to me. However, just know ******* did not honor their contract in my case.

Were sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to provide context. At *******, our goal is always to treat homeowners with respect and fairness, and in the vast majority of cases we are able to move forward to closing on the original terms.

As with all purchase agreements, the contract includes an inspection period. This is a standard part of real estate transactions and allows us to confirm the propertys condition, layout, and key systems before finalizing the purchase. Our initial visit is done by a photo runner, who only takes pictures for our reviewthis step does not involve giving repair estimates or determining final values.

In your case, after our full inspection we discovered several important factors that made the original offer unsustainable. These included a bedroom that was too small to be considered a full bedroom, a roof that was older than stated, and additional repairs that significantly impacted the homes value. While we understand this was disappointing, the inspection period exists to allow both parties to make informed decisions if material differences are found.

We regret that this experience left you feeling dissatisfied, but we want to emphasize that situations like this are uncommon. ******* moves forward on the overwhelming majority of contracts, and we pride ourselves on providing a straightforward and professional process for homeowners who choose to sell to us.
