Sales people do not know what they are doing . If you are paying cash they make it very hard.

The customer keeps referring to “paying cash”. Paying with a “personal check” is not paying cash. Unfortunately due to prior bad experiences in accepting personal checks from customers, it is our policy, and has been our policy for over 20 years that we do not take personal checks. Most banks will no longer verify funds, and very few banks are open on Saturday even if we were to try to verify funding. With the type of product we sell (ATV/UTV/etc.), there is no yearly road registration like an automobile, which makes repossession track down recovery next to impossible. We sell hundreds of units per year, and this has been our policy now for over 20 years. I’m sorry this information was missed on your initial visit with our salesman, but the salesman did inform you again prior to you picking up the unit that we do not take personal checks. As a courtesy and to help with any misunderstandings, we have delivered the unit to your home residence free of delivery charge fees, and reimbursed you for the fee ($10) it cost you from your bank for the cashiers check.

Just so we are correct I live in Columbia Tn I was in Nashville1hour from home on my way to pick up unit when salesman called and told me they do not take checks so I had to turn around and drive back home a waste of 2hours This would not have been a problem if the salesperson had told me up front . He had 3 opportunities to tell me once in person and 2 times when he talked to me on the phone .

Sir, I am sorry for any misunderstanding there was, but as in your verbal communication to my salesman (and as you stated here) you said you were paying "cash". My salesperson took you at what you said and was expecting cash. When verifying this on the phone prior to your arrival, cash turned into a personal check. There was obviously a misunderstanding somewhere, whether it was on our end or your end, and we tried to do the right thing by making it hassle-free for you by home-delivering your unit at no extra charge. Thank you for your business and enjoy your new unit.

Ok lesson learned for both on us.
