    When visiting the Arrington Vineyards we went into the gift shop due to an electrical storm. Sales lady said if you want a good discount on your purchases today you can join the wine club. So, we decided to shop for gifts for our family to take home, spent way more than the one small item we planned to buy. We purchased well over $*** of gifts to take back, only because of the discount. days after we got back to ***********, AV sent email saying we cant have a membership and they are charging us back the discounts because we live in ***********. We would not have purchased the items at the reg prices in the store. We made the purchase on the discounts only. No one ask or said anything about the state issue. we couldnt return due to shipping wine, plus we already had given as gifts. Arrington Vineyard made this mistake and is not the customers fault. The customer service wine club manager was not willing to do what was right and insulted us with jibberish about policies. in summary, we were sold on discount and purchased product only because of that. then AV waits till the customer is long gone and pulls a switch on the deal. Trap!? What a company with good customer service would do is apologize about the mix up on wine club, you can keep the discounts on the goods you purchased and please come back to visit us again. simple. for 40 bucks you have already lost repeat customers and new ones from visiting.

    We signed up for the wine club when we went to visit, and we were not aware we were signed up for shipping instead of pickup. We were charged $25 for shipping when we live 20 mins away. We were never told we were signed up for shipping and there was never an alert on the email prior to it being charged and announced it will be shipped. There was no email stating “you are a shipping customer if you wish to change here’s how” Now that we are investigating this we see there’s a place under shipping address- once you click there you can change to pick up but that’s not obvious at all how the heck would we have known to click “update shipping address!” This is horrible business and needs to be corrected for future customers. I’m also giving 10 days heads up I don’t want it to be shipped, yet that’s not enough time? I’m highly disappointed as much as I love the winery I will be canceling my membership and never stepping foot over $25 because of the lack of care and customer service.
