My experience with Miles Mobile RV Service was absolutely terrible. I was passing through Rapid City when I needed an AC installed in my RV.

Firstly, after Miles installed the AC, it wasn't blowing cold air at all. When I raised this concern, he rudely dismissed me, saying, "You paid me to install an AC. If there's a problem, deal with the warranty." That's not the kind of customer service you expect after paying a substantial amount.

To make matters worse, Miles took the cash payment I made for the installation and got in his truck and just left me there. The next day, I took my RV to ******* World, where they confirmed that the AC unit Miles installed was faulty. They had to process a warranty claim to get it replaced. I wasn't able to wait the 2 weeks to have another one shipped so had no choice but to pay for a new one.

Desperate to resolve the issue, I contacted Miles and gave him the chance to make things right. I asked him to refund me for the cost of the AC unit since it was defective, but he insisted on picking up the unit to "inspect it himself." He sent his helper to ******* World to pick up the AC. That was the last I heard from him.

It has now been three weeks, and Miles refuses to answer my calls or return the AC unit, which cost me over $1,500. He has effectively robbed me of $1,500. Not to mention, most likely "sold" it to another customer. I would strongly advise anyone against using Miles Mobile RV Service unless you want to be left high and dry with subpar service and no recourse for your money.

Treating travelers and visitors this way is completely unacceptable and shameful. It's unfortunate when someone in the service industry fails to uphold basic standards of customer care and integrity. People rely on services like Miles Mobile RV Service while on the road, expecting professionalism and honesty. It's a shame that this experience turned out so poorly, especially when trust and reliability are crucial factors for travelers.

    Business Response

This company welcomes reviews of all kinds. In this case, we have a person who has refused to follow directions, policies, and warranties. When there is an issue with a product, you need to file a claim; this person did not. After taking the vehicle to another facility for repairs, then went on to file a claim. The replacement was approved; turn it down and proceed to purchase an alternative. May have gotten a refund. The one installed was taken off, damaged in the process, and then dumped outside in a back lot, left for pickup. Left the state without setting outstanding obligations. This person played the same game to get free service and repair from another repairer, whereas that company ended up paying for repairs. This is the work of a deception.

To conclude, this person is still in default for up to four hours of unpaid service provided. In this state, anyone who has worked on a camper or any other property has a mechanical lien and can hold till paid. In this case, there will be no claim or refunds. A claim was made and turned down. Services are still outstanding. This customer absconded, leaving the state without fulfilling their obligations.

Warranties are as follows. File a claim for the replacement of the part, or ask for a refund from the manufacturer, ship the part back. No shipping or labor is refundable. May have to pay shipping for a return.  A different set of circumstances can apply based on the manufacturer.

Businesses can "refuse service at their discretion. In this case, what are the motive, abjection, and hopeful outcome?
