Went to Optical Impressions in Summerville SC in November of 2021, had my yearly eye exam paid by my health ins. Ordered a single pair of no line bi-focal glasses to the tune of 539.00, got the in a couple weeks, could not see thru them, close or far, brought the back. they checked the lens, adjusted them on my face and told me to where them thru the holidays. Trying to focus would make me dizzy and nauseous. I brought them back several times, they did minor adjustments to the arms with no improvement. The girls told me i would have to speak to the owner, Larry if I wanted anything else done. Went to Charleston to see Larry. Larry was arrogant and belligerent, not listening to what i had to say, speaking over me to the point of raising his voice to drown me out. He said there was nothing wrong with the glasses, and that i had thickening of my eye lenses, that I had cataracts, and that no pair of glasses could help me see clearly. Never dilated my eyes. He stated it was my fault because my eyes are too sensitive to the new prescription. In Feb the eye doctor reexamined my eyes and cut my prescription in half, and it was an improvement but not the clarity of the eye machine or my old glasses. I asked the girl at the store to put my old prescription in or refund me, she said i would need to talk to Larry. Larry called me that day, 3/18/22 with the same belligerent attitude as our last encounter, stating if I wanted my old prescription, it would cost me 400 dollars for the lenses. When I said, I was going to make another eye appointment he said I could come to see another of his Drs. I told him, that would be foolish of me. which enraged him even more. He then told me my ins had renewed and that I could come in and try again on a new pair. My glasses have been in their possession more than in mine. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and have never seen or delt with a company as poorly operated and dishonest. Buyer Beware, Larry is a shyster in my opinion.
