  If I could give this company a negative rating I would.
  My recommendation is NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH A1-Construction. Check reviews and the bbb on this business before you commit.
  This company attended to an HVAC issue I was having at my home. They were contracted by my warranty company ******** **** ****** (***) (I have done a seperate review on ***, if interested).
  A1-Construction attended to my issue in late June and early July 2024.
  My system was not working. I was told by M. R******* that the whole system needed to be replaced. I was told by R******* after submitting his diagnosis to ***, that everything had been approved by the warranty company.
  R******* came out and allegedly replaced all parts to the system. Nothing more thought about it until October when the system was switched to heat. It didn't work AGAIN!
  After trying to contact R******* about the repair, to no avail...he never responded, I contacted the warranty company. My requests to revisit the repair were ignored by *** and I was told to contact the contractor..after going back and forth with this same verbage from ***, I took my complaint to the SC licensing agency.
  I requested another service call from ***. This contractor stated I needed to replace my entire HVAC unit...$8000.
  Now to December, the agency I had come out, determined that A1Construction installed my relay board as a conventional system. I have a heat pump. Because of this, the return signal was not functioning correctly ( to the relay and the dampers).
  A1 Construction identified that it had replaced all parts which would have included the dampers. They did not.
  Bottom line, after ******* *** diagnosed everything, the only thing I needed to replace was one damper and another IMPORTANT COMPONENT for the entire system to function appropriately.
  A1- Constructions lack of communication demonstrates its lack of professionalism and integrity as well as the poor quality of their work.

  Raymond is a very nice man but his work is substandard. Day 1 I have had to engage an attorney and get multiple contractors to come and see what it will take to fix up his mess. He really did make a mess of the work site but his work is also a mess

  If I could give no stars I would. Mike of A1 construction LLC is extremely rude and cursed me out before I could even explain what my issue was. They have come out to my home x2 and did not fix my A/C at all. I don’t understand how a business like this is even still allowed to be in operation. I tried calling back after he hung up in my face but was continuing to give the voicemail. Please everyone who reads this do not try to get business from him he will not do you right.

  HVAC Tech from A-1 Construction Services of SC, LLC was due to arrive between 9AM - 12PM on 8/9/23 according to the dispatch records of AHS Warranty. At 1pm, I contacted the owner (Mike) via text to let him know his tech had not arrived. The tech called me to say he was tied up in traffic and would arrive by 3:30pm. Mike told me someone would call me when the tech was enroute. This did not happen I had to initiate the call. When the tech (Chris) finally arrived, I told him the issues we were having. He performed some tests and determined we needed a discharge air temperature sensor. He contacted me later that day via text and said the part would not be covered under the AHS Warranty. I checked with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for Spartanburg County, SC where his business is registered. I found his business is not accredited by the BBB ). This company has horrible reviews and lacks credibility. They did not do what they said they'd do. They should NOT BE CONSIDERED for future work with AHS Warranty.

  Chris arrived earlier than they were scheduled, asked me over the phone if he could begin looking at my ac. I told him yes because I knew it was probably the capacitor. I told him the fan was not turning at the coils, he said yes it was either the capacitor or the fan motor. He had replaced the capacitor because it wasn’t pulling enough electricity but the fan still didn’t run and by the time I arrived he was in the process of installing a new motor. All the work was covered under warranty and didn’t cost anything additional. I highly recommend A-1 Construction Services.

  Contracted through American Home Shield to repair AC. Never showed up for an appointment two weeks ago. I called and left messages with Mike R******* with my contact info. No return calls. Canceled everything with AHS and secured our own service with different company. Mike R******* showed up at my house today stating he was there for the appointment. When I explained the situation he was rude and argumentative and said “**** *** *****”.

  Thsi company was sent to my homne through my home warranty company. The owner was at my home 12 minutes. He stood on my porch and looked at my furnace and said "I dont need tools to check this it is your coil system leaking because of rust. Then he said he was going to his truck to get a tool to check freon level. He comes back in and tells me there is a trace of freon in my system. Then I had to call him the next day to remind him to send in report to AHS. Guess he didnt notice the cameras around the outside of my home. He didnt check the freon level. Camera by the outside unit shows that. Got another company out and the coils were fine no leaks at all. Freon level was full. The only issue was ac drain line has a small block in it. Works fine. It is a shame that he felt the need to try and scam me and the warranty company out of a lot of money. This is NOT how you treat folks or do business.

  I had a claim through my warranty company and they sent A1 out. The guy told me it was an evaporator coil leak. He stated it should be under warranty and they would have to send in the paperwork and it could take up to a 1 1/2 weeks. A few days later I see that my service request shows complete. I contact my warranty company and they in turn contact A1. A1 informed my
  warranty company that they refused to fix my unit. My warranty company claims that they filed a report against A1. My suggestion is to never use this sham of a company.

  My home warranty company ***** ******** **** ******** assign my HVAC repair needs to A-1 Construction Services and their service is the worst I've ever dealt with. From the start I called A-1 twice and only got an answering machine and zero call backs. The first technician arrived and diagnosed it was a bad fan an that he' order the part and gave no ETA on the part. Tried calling A-1 and answering machine again and no return call, 3 days later received text that they'd be out to make the repair, the day they arrived the technician was rude out of the gate when i asked him if the unit took any type of filters which is responded I Dont Know I Dont Think So. Then after the repair I asked if he was going to come in the home to make sure it was working his response, I Just Replace The Bad Part and he left. Apparently, home warranty company ***** ******** **** ******** contracts with the cheapest companies they can find and it shows.
