My mortgage company uses this service to " process insurance checks ". The check was made out to myself and the insurance company and I had to submit it to insurance ************** where they deposited it into their bank account and then acted like an insurance company or a contractor releasing funds small bit at a time. They initially only gave 25% of the check for work to start however it was a roof repair and it only took one day for the entire project to be completed. Once the completion report was sent, they determined that only 92% of the work had been done which was inaccurate and then they would only release another 25% of the work check even though 92% was completed in their estimate but 100% was actually complete. When confronted their story changed twice and I still don't have the money. I believe this is a scam and they are trying to keep funds that do not belong to them. These are insurance funds used to repair the house. Now the house is repaired the contractor wants the money and he will file a lien against a house simply because they will not release the funds.

On 01/27/2025, I had a house fire at **************************************. I filed a claim with my insurance company, ********. ******** has sent all insurance funds to insurance claim check. I have received $21,380 in total and have gotten as many repairs as I could have done with that including an entire new HVAC unit and ductwork, and all new electricity rewired. The mitigation company has already been paid directly by the insurance as well. Since 06/26/2025, they have been telling me that the release of the next bit of funds is under review. It has been 5 weeks now, I call everyday, and they have told me everyday that it is still under review. 5 weeks of this. And when I ask to speak with the review department, they say they cant transfer me to them. I need these funds so that I can get repairs done to my house. It has been sitting vacant since the fire, it isnt livable and we are spending so much money on hotels every week and still paying the mortgage for a house we cant even live in. This company has been no help and are dragging this out. In looking at reviews of this company, I see that this is very common for them to hold peoples funds for months, sometimes even years and I cannot afford for that to happen with me. I am just requesting that they send the funds I have requested to pay my contractor so that I can get the remaining repairs completed to my home and get myself, husband, and 5 yo, 4 yo, and 7mo old home.

I submitted a reimbursement request to InsuranceClaimCheck.com on May 19, 2025, related to an insurance claim (Claim #********) tied to my mortgage escrow account. Despite submitting all required documentation, making weekly follow-up calls, and being told multiple internal notes had been sent to their Corporate Escalations Team, I have not received any response, determination, or disbursement in nearly two months. This has caused severe delays in my home restoration efforts, blocked me from accessing escrowed funds I am entitled to, and added financial hardship. There is no valid reason for such excessive delay, and I am requesting immediate resolution, final determination, and fund release.

InsuranceClaimCheck.com is a 3rd party administrator for my mortgage company that takes insurance claims and makes sure that repairs are completed. I don't think this is a legal service to begin with, but they are in the business of taking your money and delaying paying it back to you as long as possible. I have been trying for 2 months to get my final payment from them of over $6000 and they say I need a 100% inspection, but I had an inspection in April that was 99% and then I scheduled another inspection at the end of April, because my repairs are 100% complete. They canceled the inspection cause they said they were going to issue me a check. Then I called again and they said they would issue me a check, then I called again and they said they would issue me a check and they still have not issued my check. I actually called today and was told that the escalations department can't do anything but tell me to wait which proves they are running a racket to keep people's money for as long as they can.

As part of ************************** standard procedure, insurance claim funds are managed through their partner ******, also known as InsuranceClaimCheck (www.insuranceclaimcheck.com). For my claim, I am required to send all insurance checks for home repairs to them for review and endorsement. While they have issued partial funds, they are currently holding approximately $66,000 pending an inspection that has yet to be scheduled or completed.Since early April 2025, I have submitted all required documentationincluding invoices, adjuster communications, and proof of completed workto representatives such as ***** at InsuranceClaimCheck.com. I followed up repeatedly throughout April and May. On May 15, 2025, I sent a formal complaint to the *********************************, copying Cenlar and United Wholesale Mortgage, outlining the urgency of the matter and the threat of collections from the contractor involved.Despite these efforts, InsuranceClaimCheck has failed to facilitate the required inspection and, without any notice to me, canceled my inspection request. I was not contacted or informed of this cancellation, and only discovered it after following up myself. When I call InsuranceClaimCheck, I am routinely met with unhelpful responses and no clear path forward. This lack of communication and cooperation is obstructing the release of insurance funds that are critical for paying the contractors who have already completed the necessary ********** a result, I have been forced to pay out of pocket, which has placed a significant financial burden on me and caused undue stress. To make matters worse, Force One Restoration who sent an invoice for $66,000 has already threatened to send my invoice to collections, further jeopardizing my financial standing.
