We installed a new roof. Our roof leaks like a sieve. We paid Hixon's over $17,000. As of today 2/**/22 our new roof is 3 months old. they offer a 10 yr. warranty. You'd better find out specifically the details of that warranty. Hixon refuses to fix drywall damage caused by the leaking roof they installed. After assuring me they would take care of it, they changed their mind. Water mitigation and drywall damage will cost me over $2,400. I paid ******* ** ***** to do moisture readings and provide an estimate. I paid another roofing company to provide me with a comprehensive roof inspection and condition report. To actually fix the leaking roof Hixon's installed and came back to "fix" twice is going to cost over $3,000. They destroyed our landscaping. Every little flagstone wall needs to be rebuilt. Our $16,000 babbling brook water feature was full of shingles and roofing debris. Ten of 12 landscape lights were broken and scattered about. We picked up plastic forks, plastic grocery bags and other garbage all over the yard. Our trash and recycle containers mysteriously disappeared. They left roof debris on the roof. Many shingles were not installed properly so they will never seal. They left unsightly untrimmed corners. Hundreds of nails! Nails everywhere.
Because I had another roofing company do a roofing inspection, Hixon voided my warranty. I guess I never had one in the first place! Their 10-yr labor warranty isn't worth the ink it took to put it in writing. The lifetime shingles are only lifetime if they are installed according to manufacturer's specs.
