    River valley waste management is a local refuse removal service that we pay for a dumpster on a monthly basis for bi-weekly pickup. It currently has been over a month since they have emptied our dumpster, it was overflowing and piled on top. We have called several times and told trucks are broke down, not enough employees WHEN they call back. Our last call that was returned we simply requested they come empty the dumpster and remove it from our property and were told they dont know when that will happen, they are 3 weeks behind. We went to the office during business hours to talk to someone in person to find a sign that says closed for the day, sorry for inconvenience.We made a post on social media about the situation and there are a LOT of people with the same issue around the area with this company. We have since found another company to use and they have delivered one of their dumpsters, along with numerous other neighbors in our area that also switched to them. They were delivering 5 dumpsters the day they brought ours.Ironically, they are still sending out monthly bills for service that they havent even provided service for for over a month. (Or longer for others according to comments on social media)Their coverage is wide, based in Bradford county, Wyoming county and we live in Susquehanna county.We are not looking for anything monetary, only for them to provide the service they have already been paid for and remove their equipment. There are untold amounts of trash piling up around the area at their customers with no sign of results in the near future.

    The customer's comments are correct and true, we are making no excuses for the poor service and the delay in picking up the garbage.  We have this past week turned the corner with getting our trucks repaired and back on the road.  We are currently in the process of issuing credits to our dumpster customers for the month of September.  I will have my operations team follow up with customer and remove dumpster in the next few days.

    Said company picked up our trash 3 weeks out of the 4 in the month of July. Company was emailed with no response until nearly a month later when our trash was not picked up again. When CSR spoke with us they informed us they were changing companies, employees not showing up for work, and that they would look into having someone come out and pick up the trash we had paid for, no one has. We also requested for a pro rated refund for the missed weeks for the months of July and August service. To us, this company had no problem doing auto pay every month, however, they recently have not met their obligation. This could be considered a health issue, that I didn't mark, due to the fact that flies have now infested our can with maggots and the potential of wild life being attracted to heated trash.

    We as a company make no excuses for the poor service recently provided by our company.  We have faced many challenges as a company that we have tried our hardest to overcome and push through.  The easy solution to our operations would be to close the company down, but we realize the tremendous challenge this would cause for trash service in our rural community, and the burden it would have on our customers and community.  We are in the process of change now that we feel confident will be for the better for our customers and community.  I will advise my office staff to contact customer and provide a refund for the time period in question.
