    i got a 30 min massage here on 10/2/24 and it was not worth $40. i could feel that she didnt want to do it and it also felt rushed. it was supposed to be relaxing and relieve my anxiety but it was quite the opposite. first time ever getting a massage and was given no instruction for if or how i should undress and which way i should lay down. no knock when reentering the room after leaving me to change. then as i was leaving she asked for a tip and wouldnt let me leave until i gave her one! literally manipulated me into tipping her. didnt think the service was tip worthy and when i offered a small tip she refused and kept harassing me for more and was rude when i originally told her all i had was $2 more in cash. wasted $47 just to end up adding to my stress. no where did it say that i was required to tip. i did not feel like she deserved a tip or that the service was worth $40. they advertised it as a restful atmosphere but yet i could hear what was going on in other rooms and the lady wasnt respectful at all. i tipped $7 because i was afraid she wouldnt let me leave or would lash out on me. this is absolutely unacceptable. pressuring and harassment for tips is unprofessional. tips are for services that are deserving of more than what they asked for. in this case it was deserving of $15 total!! not $40 plus a $7 tip that was basically stolen from me. i want a refund for all my money because not only was my day ruined, i was robbed of nearly $50 that i decided to use in an attempt to treat myself and soothe my anxiety in a time where im barely working and dont have much money coming in.

    We have reviewed the complaint above and sincerely apologize to our customer. The worker at the *** was new and culturally and socially inept to do this job with a significant language barrier. Although language barriers can happen anywhere; rude behavior to customers is unacceptable.  We have since replaced her. Spring Willow Spa has been in business for over 8 years and is a customer-based business relying on repeat business through word of mouth and satisfied customers. All monies will be refunded to our customer, and we hope that this customer will accept our apology and return of money as good faith for future dealings.
