    The business gave me an estimate to replace two single sink vanities and shower door for $2532.00. I was sent an invoice after the project was completed for $3,754.23. I was never informed regarding a price change during the two day project and never agreed to any changes that would have resulted in a price increase. When i contacted the manager I was told i don't' have to be notified of prices changes or have to agree with them i only have to pay the invoice.

    The customer signed a contract for ******************** (see attached) to install two customer supplied vanities and a shower door for an estimated cost of $2,532.00.  Since we were not providing the materials for the job, the contract was written to clearly state: "Vanity must match existing footprint as this does not include alterations. We will charge actual hours for each craftsman" and materials to be charged at "Actuals plus 18%". At no time did the customer consult with us or provide any details on the vanities or shower door to be installed. 

    One of Post Haste Handyman's core values is open communication with customers.  On the starting day of the work February 22,2024, the customer was called after the craftsmen were able to assess the first vanity to inform them that it did not meet the criteria stipulated in the contract and would require extensive modifications to work in their bathroom.  We informed the customer that it would be at least an additional half of a day of labor and materials to complete the work.  This estimate was based on seeing only one of the vanities as the other did not arrive until later in the morning. In the end, the second vanity required just as much customization as the first which is why the final invoice was closer to a full day of extra labor to complete the installation.

    Post Haste Handyman prides itself on high quality, professional craftsmanship.  We were able to make the necessary modifications to the plumbing and cabinets to achieve a successful installation including the shower door.  We maintained a clean and safe worksite and removed the old materials from the site and dumped them at no charge to the customer.  Happy to provide pictures.

    Not only was this customer contacted and notified of a price change, he agreed to proceed with the work knowing that it would be at least an additional half day of labor and materials.

    Another core value of Post Haste Handyman is integrity.  Since this complaint was registered, Post Haste has reached out to the customer and offered to reduce the invoice by an additional $584.00 which reflects the estimate given after the initial assessment.  Even though the work to complete the second cabinet customization exceeded the estimate we stand by our word.

    I've included a couple of pictures that show the amount of customization that was required to make the vanities that the client provided for the installation work.  We feel we are fully justified in charging what we did on the invoice which already included a $196 credit.  To make the customer happy we have since offered another discount of $584 which brings us back to the price we estimated upon seeing the vanity for the first time.  Current discount stands at 20% off for a very challenging project and going above and beyond to install two vanities that were not design to fit those locations.
