    I joined Planet Fitness in December 2022 when I was 17 years old. After a few months, in early 2023, I called to cancel. The manager whom I spoke to told me she would cancel it. A couple days after that conversation, I checked my Planet Fitness app and confirmed that I no longer had the option to check in to a gym. Therefore, I reasonably believed that the cancellation was successful. Further, I have not used the gym since I canceled in early 2023. Although it was canceled, they continued to take money from my account for the last two years of at least $220. Upon recently returning home from college, I went in to the local gym to confirm that my membership was canceled and ascertain why I was still being charged. I was told that not only was it not canceled when I originally requested it be canceled, but that I owed over $300, and that they would not allow me to cancel until that was paid off.
