A&C Auto service told me they put in a new battery and took off the ***'s new battery. they Charge me ******. *********************** told me to take this *** battery call them and get my battery back. I came home and called *** said they can not give money back but they can check my battery. They advised me to take the A&C Auto service battery back and ask for my money back. I called the A&C Auto service they told me okay take off the battery and bring it back to the service and we will give you a full refund. I took off the battery to service but this time he said they can not return my money to the credit cart. he said he can give a partial amount of money via check. I ask for the full amount he did not give me any money back and he keep the car battery also. He touched my car battery and took off and therefore I lose the *** battery guarantee. He did not return the money that he charged ($******)he charged. He keeps the battery. He scamming people, and he is doing fraud. he is also rude to customers. On January 17, 2023, my vehicle did not start and I jump-started my car in front of my home. I drove my car to the Walgreen pharmacy located across from the A&C Auto Service.  I drove my car for less than 10 minutes after I jump started.  After I went to the pharmacy, I stopped my car. When I started again, it started but this time it was running very slowly. I realized that there was an auto service across the street from Walgreen. I went to A&C Auto Service and I talk with a person that looks like the owner of the auto service. I explained my vehicle issue and asked for their help. I told him I might need to jump-start my car battery. He said he will find out the issue and he offered a free diagnostic. I accepted his offer. My son and I started to wait in the customer waiting area. There were more customers in the waiting area. The owner told us we would wait until they finished with other customer cars.  I left the car key on the dashboard of my car and started to watch my car. After a half hour, the owner asked me for my car key and I showed my car key on the dashboard. Then he asked my permission to drive my car for a few minutes to diagnose the issue. When they return my car after a few minutes, he told me that my car has a dead battery issue. I told him my car battery is new. The *** came to my home on April 2022 and put a new battery with 3 years warranty on it.

The owner of the A&C Auto Service told me again they checked my car battery and diagnosed that the issue was the dead battery (bad battery issue). I told him again my car battery is new and I asked him to jump my car. My car was checked and inspected a week ago. My car was inspected on 01/10/2023 and stickers were on my car's front window. The place that inspected my car checked everything a week ago and there was no issue. They also check my car battery and they told me my battery is good.

A&C Auto Service owner said you cannot drive with this dead battery, and we should change it.  I asked him again "are you sure it is a bad battery issue" and he said he is certain that is a bad battery issue. I told him it is a new battery with a 3 yrs warranty on it again. Then he advised me to call *** and return their battery back and ask for a full refund from them. He put another new battery in my car and they did uninstall my *** battery and gave it to me.  He said again you can call *** service, they will come, take the battery, and they should give a full refund.  I believed him at that time because as a woman I never encounter this kind of issue before.

Changing my car battery took ***** minutes. However, we wait there for about an hour for other costumer's cars to finish.  They did not do anything else. They did not spend two hours diagnosing my car. My car does not have any issues. They did not spend any time more than 15 minutes in my car. He charged from my credit card $249.00. After I came home, I called *** service and explained the issue.  I talked few representatives and a supervisor from *** service. Then, I realized that A&C Auto Service defrauded me by giving false information regarding *** service, misdiagnosing my car, and giving me unnecessary service to scam me.

The supervisor from *** Company told me that since my car battery is new with 3 yrs warranty, the A&C Auto Service made a mistake to take it out of my car and they caused me to lose my battery warranty. In addition, the supervisor at *** said they could not give any money back; however, they can come to my home and check the battery. If my battery is bad, they can change it.  The *** supervisor advised me to contact A&C Auto Service again and asked for a full refund. He told me this situation looked like a scam issue.

I called A&C Auto Service, the owner told me I can take out their battery myself and return back to the  A&C Auto Service. He said he will give a full refund. I took the battery off and return the battery on January 18, 2023.  I asked for a full refund. This time he rejected to give back a full refund. He said I could give a partial refund on a check. I asked him for a full refund for the way that I paid (to my credit card). He rejected. He was rude and he said with a threatening voice, "You will come back here again and ask for your money". I told him I am not going to come back, but I will call my credit card company to dispute the charge and I will make a complaint against  A&C Auto Service.

I came back home; I called the ******************************** and talk with an officer. I made a complaint. The police officer told me it is a civil issue and he advised me to contact and make a complaint against the auto service to the BBB, and PA ****** of the ******** General. He agreed that this is a shady business situation. I did make my complaints against A&C Auto Service.

The *** road service did come to my home and checked my *** car battery. They said my vehicle's *** battery is good and there is no issue with my *** battery.

    Complaint Key elements:

A&C Auto Service technicians and the owner misdiagnosed my vehicle issue intestinally and gave unnecessary service to scam me. There was nothing wrong with my vehicle as I already inspected it on January 10, 2023. In addition, there was no issue with my *** battery and it just needed to jump-start.

The A&C Auto Service owner gave false information regarding *** service and their refund policy in order to get my permission to take out the *** battery. After I called *** service, I realized that the A&C Auto Service owner gave untrue information.

They spend 15 minutes changing my new battery to their battery. Their technicians did not spend two hours diagnosing any issue.  Their technicians were very unprofessional because they misdiagnose the issue. They did not do any other diagnostic test that I know. They did not find any other issue. They did not spend more than 15 minutes and they did give an unnecessary service to charge for their false diagnostic test.

A&C Auto Service took out my new *** battery and caused me to lose my 3 yrs battery warranty from *** road service.

Per our phone conversation with A&C Auto Service owner on 1/17/2023, they should give a full refund. Unfortunately, when I returned the battery back to A&C Auto Service, he refused to give me a full refund.

A&C Auto Service defrauded me, and they did not refund my money even though I return their battery.

I am very upset about this unpleasant customer experience and I want a full refund to my credit card in order to resolve this issue.  I am not interested in any partial refund. I am serious about perusing my complaint against this unprofessional and shady business.  I hope my complaint prevents others to harm in the same kind of situation.

    Thank you for your consideration.

    Respectfully,
