  A******* concrete and masonry finished their work july 16 2022 and were paid $6,400 for a new patio and below grade replacement of cinder block in laundry room. They replaced the window well which was put in crooked. The cement was not level with the house and rain water flows into the window well. Rebar and a rust spot is visable on the patio. There are chips on patio surface. They did not replace caps over cinder block in laundry room as stated in contract. They dumped their cement around the base of my tree and it leached into soil 2 inches. They also dumped in the landscaping. A tree service needs to excavate the tree area and then fertilize it for over a $1,000. They WILL NOT come to my home to even look at patio. I have been calling them since August. I want reimbursement for a new patio and tree service . I sent them pictures of all of this in August.

  In response to the customers claims of poor-quality workmanship by our concrete and masonry company, the following is our dispute.
  Dan, the owner, went to the customer’s home when she was not there, looked at the concerns and saw nothing that needed to be addressed or corrected.  We also received photos.
  The window well was installed level with area. No chalking or sealing needed to be done. There is no problem if rain water falls into an outside window well.
  The concrete patio was installed to have water run away from house. The concrete next to outside window well causes no issues or puddles. 
  Concrete is a mix of cement, sand and limestone. Concrete has some variations in the mix that sometimes appears in the finished concrete. Minor imperfections are common, not preventable and not normally noticed.  The contractor has no control over the concrete mix. We have been used the same concrete supplier for over twenty-five years and have had no issues. Concrete rebar cannot protrude thru two inches of concrete. 
  Our workers cleanup after every job as much as possible, but not spotless. The owner is responsible. 
  Concrete dust does go air borne when the guys are cleaning up with water. A minor amount of dust around a tree does not cause any damage. 
  The inside block was installed and capped with a 4” top. 
  A glass block was broken and the customer was reimbursed to have a company replace. $329.00.
  From the beginning, the customer was very agitated because previous contractor would not call her or respond to her after they gave her a free estimate.
  The customer was quite persistent to have the work completed. So, we moved her job to the top of the list of jobs to be completed this year.
  In conclusion, Dan, the owner, went to the customer’s home when she was not there, looked at the concerns and saw nothing that needed to be addressed or corrected.  From the beginning, the customer was extremely meticulous and seemed to be under a lot of stress. Dan did not want to deal with her again. We are diligent in providing quality service and always resolve valid customer concerns.
  We have an excellent track record for our services. In twenty-five years of service, we have never had a BBB complaint. All our reviews are five star both with BBB & Angi’s List. 
  Our company is open to suggestions to resolve a dissatisfied customer.  But we are not willing to reimburse the customer. We are bothered that we have an unhappy customer. We wish the customer well.
